Thank you. Which scraper source have you selected for data and images ?
I tried with GameFAQ and AllGame
This thread is now to long. It is difficult for users to quickly found any useful information. This thread is to long and the information is lost. It is also difficult for me to refer to already replied questions.
Because it has become more and more difficult to provide a good help support on Advanced Launcher using this single thread due too the large number of post and replies, I will now provide support for Advanced Launcher on my proper external board :
http://www.gwenael.org/forum/index.php
I will still to post any new release information on this thread, but all the support will be provided on the external board.
I will also try in the next days to transfer (copy/past) all the relevant information of this thread to the external board. So the already posted useful information by the users or me will not be still lost into this so huge thread.
I hope you will understand my mind. If you have any question/reaction/suggestion about this decision.... you know where you will found me now...
Allright - Since I had problems with "trakt" too, I reinstalled XBMC completely and built everything from scratch again, now it is working just fine.
As I mentioned a few weeks ago, I created a launcher called "Magazines" to catalog and launch my .PDF magazine collection. It's working fine now with Angelscry's help, only I have all of the magazines cataloged in one large list that's getting cumbersome to navigate.
If I wanted to separate all of my National Geographics from say the Popular Photography, etc is it possible to have sub-folders under the main launcher called Magazines? (I tried simply adding a bunch of sub folders to my main source where the launcher looks for files to add, and it does find them with the recursive search, but still puts them all in one list, not in seperate sub-menus named after the sub-folders as I had hoped it would). Or do I need to create separate launchers for each set of mags that I want to catalog as a group and scan each of those separately?
Many thanks

No, it is not possible to add categories into Advanced Launcher. Advanced launcher use the same manner to display items list than XBMC for audio and movies. When XBMC will be able to add categories, Advanced launcher will be able too.
But as I have already explain to lophie yesterday, there is 3 ways to sort items into categories :
http://forum.xbmc.org/showpost.php?p=745...count=1739
- use included search engine.
- duplicate the installation of advanced launcher.
- create a launcher for each categories.

Thanks, I did #3, it's actually quite easy editing the XML in a text editor and just copying/pasting the info.
One last issue, when I launch the .PDF viewer, XBMC minimizes itself to the taskbar, my PDF viewer launches fullscreen, all as expected.
However, when I exit the PDF viewer, I'm returned to the desktop, and XBMC stays minimized to the taskbar. When I click on the taskbar icon, then XMBC goes back to normal fullscreen.
This is on WinXPx86 SP3 - is there a setting that I need to enable to have XBMC get back control and go back to fullscreen automatically when the external app closes?
Thanks again for the help!

Thank you Angelscry for the response it was very helpful. I guess I'll go with number 2 for now. I just want to say I believe I have enough experience in python/XML/XBMC to help you with this plugin especially the folders idea. Currently I'm working on a big project for a cyber cafe solution utilizing XBMC as the client machines shell, so I guess I'll be away for a while. feel free to throw at me small fixes to do if you don't have time for them.
When I'm finished with that project. I'll be really happy to pitch in. I'll go and check the google code entry later and try to help there by patches and stuff.
Again thank you for the good work. Maybe one day this addon will be bundled with IBM compatible PC versions by default. Who knows...

I will need more information to help you : XBMC version and part of your launchers.xml file corresponding to the PDF Viewer. Please post them
here if you want a tracking.

Thank you for your help proposition, but now any Advanced Launcher support and tracking will be given
here.

can PCSX-Reloaded be used with advanced launcher and windows 7?
i tried configuring it with the following arguments:
-nogui -cdfile "%rom%"
but when i try to launch a game it opens the pcsx reloaded user interface and i then have to browse to my rom folder and reselect my game from there.
any help would greatly be appreciated

Angelscry great work on the forum but....did you attempt to get a subforum here?
fr500 Wrote:@Angelscry great work on the forum but....did you attempt to get a sub-forum here?
That was my first wish. I have already ask to moderators several weeks ago by PM if it was possible to add sub-forums for most active add-on and skins threads (not only for Advanced Launcher)... but did not receive any replies. I have also participate to one request thread about sub-forums (
http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=93639) without any replies form the moderators yet. So... like usual... you are not better served by yourself. So, I have decided to create my proper help and support forums for Advanced Launcher. I'm not really patient or kind of person how implore to have participation from others... especially if I can do the job myself.
Hi,
Has anyone had any luck getting a PS1 emulator to work on XBMC on windows or on the original Xbox? i'm having the same issue as moosenoz a few posts above.
