Why doesn't XBMC support native exe launching?
Angelscry:
If you ask why XBMC not natively support executable files launching, I don't know, but Advanced Launcher addon is here to allow you to do it. So maybe it will be better to ask directly to XBMC devellopers.

I can tell you that I wrote directly to XBMC devellopers they never answered on my question.
So that we can be thankful to Angelscry for Advanced Launcher, the only man who understands how mean the exe file in xbmc.Xbmc is crippled without real support for games.

Now When i try to change fanart or thumb by scrapper (manually works), i receive this message:

impossible assign thumb (or Fanart)

it's happens now, i create a launcher of final fantasy XIV and import thumb normally, but now, with Crysis 3, i try edit but don't Work... i tried again with others games and have same result!

I'm in the same directory ever, i launch with administrator...

i try reinstall XBMC but nothing Works!
Are you sure that the paths or the letter of the drive defined into your launchers (launchers.xml file) to store thumbs and fanart images are the same than the one you are actually using? Are you using the last version og Advanced Launcher?

HI and thank you so much for this wonderful add on
I use Ace skin on xbmc 12.2 and for some reason when I try launching my nes exe emulator from C: location it exits and says cant find drive L: but when setting up the launcher set the launcher from the exe on the C drive?
Any idea why this is occurring would be greatly appreciated

And where are located your roms? Application and roms paths are stored into launchers.xml file.

Please, post the content of the xbmc/userdata/addon_data/plugin.program.advanced.launcher/launchers.xml file using pastebon service. Then I will be able to help you more adequately.
Hello
How to create startup scanning for new games in C/program file

Natively, you can't. But you could create a files launcher that will scan et start all the exe present into the C:/program files directory. You just need to create a small .bat file containing this :

Code:
@ECHO OFF
%1

Then create a files launcher :

Application : path to the bat file.
Items folder : C:/program files
Argument : nothing
Extension : exe

Then select the option" scan for new items" to add the exe files, and each time you want to update the exe list.
Thank you very much for your reply,I'll try to do that.
Thanks again.
I loaded all from c/program file but nothing works.
I can not start anything

Oupss... Sorry. It's my mistake (I'm a little tired actually). The launcher setup must instead be :

Application : path to the bat file.
Items folder : C:/program files
Argument : "%rom%"
Extension : exe
I'll try thank you
Works perfectly, thank you very much. This is now the real thing.
You say is not possible to make auto scanning when xbmc startup?
Like we have possibility with Rom Collection Browser.

Best Regards

No, not possible. And really difficult to put in place as Advanced Launcher is not only managing games.
