I'm having issues with the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show appearing in XBMC. Up until today, it's worked (appeared) fine. I've had 2 episodes of the Fashion, 2007 and 2008, and today I added the 2010 one.

This is what I see after I added the 2010 version and updated my nfo's with ember media manager. It shows zero episodes.

The following is the naming conventions
The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show
-Season 1
-The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show (2007) - S01E07
-The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show (2008) - S01E08
-The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show (2010) - S01E10

I've checked my nfo files and they look fine to me. Here's the 2007 nfo"

I've tried removing the show and updating the library but that didn't work. It still shows 0 episodes. I also tried it on 2 different computers running 2 different OS's (Win7 and OSX) and same results. Both were running RC1.

It does work though when I let XBMC scrape it but it returns the wrong episodes.

Any ideas, anyone?

acribb

Name it 'S01.E16'. That is what theTVDB.com has it listed as.
Do you want to use nfos or thetvdb?
what is your tvshow.nfo like?
Anyways you have the filename as s01e07 and the nfo as season 1 episode 13, why?
I have personally never thought of even trying this, but I am sure it does not help.

acribb, thetvdb is not the law there is no mandate to follow their layout if you oly use nfo files.

You really have to be into Victoria's Secret (or her models) to understand this Smile.

There are 10 shows that have been broadcast on TV, from 2001 to 2010 (well, 2004 it's an exception). By that reasoning this year's show was s01e10, and the 2007 show was s01e07. But the first Victoria's Secret Show was held in 1995 and it wasn't broadcast or webcast anywhere, a state of affairs that continued till the webcast of the 1999 show and so on. By that reasoning 2007 show was s01e13 (this is also thetvdb.com order).

Obviously the count got screwed up between the two ideas.

My approach: nfo's created by any available automation; then edit manually for consistency for whichever count you prefer (if things still not adding up properly, confusing XBMC). It's just a show a year. Smile
i had this problem too. daydream is definitely onto something and i didnt know that was the reasoning.

all i know is that when last year when i first labelled the last couple of shows as per thetvdb, it was s01e07 for 2007 and s01e08 for 2008. but then with this year's show, obviously thetvdb have changed their numbering to the correct one and it is now s01e16 for this year's and the previous years have been updated too.

just update to the same numbering as what thetvdb has listed.
I completely forgot about this post. I was very frustrated not being able to manage my angels in XBMC and thankfully acrib hit the nail on the head. Renaming it solved all the issues.
Interesting. I stuck all of mine in the movie library. Makes for nice fanart when people scroll through....
I edited all my nfo's to say "Season 0" and Episode 1-10. Then rescraped the names to the correct years using ember, this worked for me.
