I think I've setup extrafanart correctly, but it's not working. I setup the folders like this-
X:\Music\Iron Maiden\extrafanart\
I've got about 10 .jpg files in there.
I set the extrafanart folder in settings to X:\Music\
I made sure the Fanart Slideshow is the set visualization.
But I still only get the default fanart. What am I doing wrong?
could you post a
Debug Log?
here's what i need:
- enable debug logging
- restart xbmc
- play some music
- switch to the fullscreen visualization window
- upload
Debug Log to pastebin
Not sure how much of the log you need
http://pastebin.com/D9iBrGKD
All my music is in X:\Music\Music\Artist\Album
I made a folder for extrafanart X:\Music\Music\Artist\extrafanart
ok, i see what's going wrong...
what xbmc version are you running?
I'm running
XBMC 10.0-rc1 r35325
Transpareny! v3.11.1
just installed rc1 on my windows machine and extrafanart is working fine here.
whatever i try, i can't reproduce your issue.
from the log it tels me it can't find X:\Music\Music\Iron Maiden\extrafanart
no clue why...normally you only get this error when there's no extrafanart directory.
Quote:I set the extrafanart folder in settings to X:\Music\
this setting is not used for the visualisation slideshow,
it's used for extrafanart when browsing your musiclibrary...which also doesn't seem to work for you.
wish i could tell you more...but the only thing i can come up with is to doublecheck if there really is an extrfanart folder in Iron Maiden.

Thanks for the idea. It worked! Stupid me, I put the extrafanart folder on my local laptop harddrive which is a copy of my HTPC music directory. One I copied it to the HTPC, it works!
One quick question though. Is there a way to change the speed at with the pix are cycled? they are too fast now. I'd like to change it to 30 seconds or something.
only by editing Includes_Workarounds.xml.
lookup the
fanartslideshow-musicvisualisation section
and change:
Code:
<timeperimage>[b]30[/b]000</timeperimage>
