Everything was playing perfectly up until a few days ago when certain avi files would play in slow motion with no audio. I just made the switch from xbmc on xbox to xbmc on a zotac zbox so I'm not sure how to post a debug log. Running XBMC Freak version. Any help is appreciated. BTW, I can connect to the Zbox via WinSCP if anyone can tell me how to get the debug log.

ok well what does that mean? why is it happeneing and can it be fixed?
I have no idea, just wanted to point it out to the experts so they won't have to search through the whole log Wink
anyone?
I already said what I had to say.

for instance have you considered to use the official XBMClive RC2 ISO?

Your video drivers are OLD and I dont understand what your advancedsettings.xml stuff is suppose to do. except for the gpu bit, what is that doing and why?

Code:
[font=&quot]<advancedsettings>[/font]
  [font=&quot]<gputempcommand>echo &quot;$(nvidia-settings -tq gpuCoreTemp) C&quot;</gputempcommand>[/font]
  [font=&quot] <audio>[/font]

HAVE you ran this http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=70068

You dont even post a test file or actually provide a proper report and using an old release...

I have an idea, why dont you ask xbmcfreak for support with his releases? Im sure hell be happy to help...

I dont use xbmcfreak stuff and from past experience I still would be apprehensive about it.

You seem to be expecting a lot of help and support wile you dont provide or investigate anything yourself... IF you do you havent shown it....

I dont mean to sound harsh but please realize, we here trying to help you dont get paid and dont read minds,its only fair if you have a problem that you detail everything as much as possible evn what you think may be invaluable...

I suggested and maitain that your problem is IN a small part related to mine waht I posted and you have dismissed it completly, I wold like to knowin what grounds you base your claim...

Various people have confirmed my problem but I bothered to post as much info as I could possibly to help them confirm the problem.

Thank you for you cooperation and again, I apologize sincerely if I sound harsh, but you should see the bad cop....

XBMC + Linux still requires a lot of tweaking to get it working acceptably, again I speak from a LOT of experience
You have render method set to software, set it to auto instead.

Yeah I set it to software to see if it would make a difference but it doesnt. I'm trying to see if theres a difference with the AVI files that don't play properly by looking up the info with mediainfo but i dont see any difference in the files. My advanced settings are for playing dts wav files...m player will not play them so i set it to dvdplayer as default.
you have it backwards,

I sigest you read the wiki and do some research.... dont expect us to do the legwork for you...

BTW dts in xbox needs resampling to 48000hz, whis is all documented and these forums dont support XBOX anymore.

this is my last effort. good luck

Dude, why do you have an attitude? I'm not expecting you to do any legwork for me. My problem has nothing to do with dts. DTS for audio wav files and video files is working fine. My problem is with certain .avi files with mp3 audio. I've done research. I've serched the forums and google and didnt find anything that can help me so I came here for help (not to get bitchy remarks from strangers). Any info I had on my problem I posted. I'm using XBMC Live Freaks version on a Zotac Zbox. Some avi files with mp3 audio do not play properly. The video stops and starts and audio starts for about 3 seconds and cuts off. Whatever files were doing this I looked up with mediainfo but didnt see anything different from other files. Thats it, what else can I tell youHuh
BTW, I received an e mail with one of your replies (that I do not see here) saying "Youve ignore my posts, Im not helping you anymore in any problems."
I've answered EVERY one of your posts. What are you, a 13 year old girl and you're punishing meHuh Don't help me then!

and BTW I am NOT using Xbox i am using a Zotac Zbox which I stated in post number 1 so who's ignoring who's postsHuh?
use custom audio settings:

plug:both

I have same problem on avi-files with audio is < 44 khz
Piquard Wrote:use custom audio settings:

I'll try that but I just checked one of the avi's that dont play and it is saying it is 48 khz and so are videos that do play. Would that be added in advanced settings? Not sure how to do it.

<audio>
plug:both
</audio>
that cant be right
