I'm quite new to Linux (Ubuntu 10.04) and XBMC.

I recently updated XBMC to 10.0 r35326 and now it will not shutdown or exit xbmc at all. The computer just hangs forever. My PC boots directly into xbmc and because I can't exit back to ubuntu i am unable to update xbmc again and hopefully fix this.

Is it possible to update xbmc from within the program? Or does anyone know how to solve this?

the shutdown,exit,logoff,.. and rest of the buttons are customisable. Make sure you have the right function of these first
