Yabsie. I'm on mac osx, frodo beta 3.
I installed your new addon, followed instructions but I am unable to find the user info file in the location you had specified. Also now I'm getting a script error now.
What am I doing wrong?

I think on mac OS its in
/Users/USERNAME/Library/Application Support/XBMC/userdata/addon_data/plugin.video.xbmcflicks/userinfo.txt
where USERNAME is your username
if not turnup debugging and check the log it should say where its looking or post log here
2012-12-11, 05:23
Where is the log recorded? I have debugging turned on

on mac? not 100% sure,
look in /Users/USERNAME/Library/Application Support/XBMC maybe
if not search the whole computer for xbmc.log

yabsie, thanks for all the hard work on this! Keep it up
Personally, I am still having issues with the instant queue not working. I can launch movies from the top 25 of netflix, but my personal queues dont load. When i go to the error log I get something like "403, user not active" which is shennigans lol. I had to manually create my userinfo.txt file though as it wouldnt grab it through chrome.
Thoughts?
can you post that a log for this with debugging cranked up and I will have a look the "user not active" is pointing towards some sort of authentication error

I am sure that in some way or other this can be accomplished technically but... Netflix specifically prohibits using their API if the target application is going to embed the viewer in a 3rd party app. Basically they insist that the API user view through a browser. I am guessing that a special license would get you around this restriction.
Thanks for that information. Maybe someone should take up a cause and get to Netflix regarding this. Sounds like the low-risk, high-reward action I could take that doesn't require much of my non-existent time.
This is why I switched to Amazon. Netflix should know that they are losing customers through this unwise practice.

I want! No, but seriously I would really like to try out netflix in xbmc, but as I have understood as long as I'm on a linux disto it won't work.
Looking forward to you sharing this with the rest of us :-)

Hi,
I have installed this add-on on my mac mini 2011, running Frodo RC1 and went through all the procedures to register my API key and secret manually in in the iqueue file. Now I can search and browse the new arrivals, watch a movie... but the instant queue are displaying an empty folder, is this a known bug?
Also what I am trying to achieve is to open a dedicated ssb app that I have created using that script http://www.lessannoyingcrm.com/articles/..._generator
instead of my default browser, is there a way to change/hardcode the app to launch?
Thanks.
