Full Version: Sorting by duration in a playlist

I'm trying to make a playlist which use the internal duration sorting (the one you choose when you create your playlist).
The sorting doesn't work very well. See the followings numbers which show the duration of the movie.

90, 92, 95, 100, 102, 122, 131, 82, 84, 85, 86.
--------------------------> Fall----------->

As you can see the duration increase in first then falls at the lower value then increase again.

What's the problem?

PS: Sorry for my English, I'm French.
Is it possible that it is sorting all episodes of one show, then moving on to the next show and sorting that one, and so on?
I have found that the smart playlist sorts on first item in the filenames...i.e all episodes of Eureka would be sorted before all episodes of Friends.
Thank you for your answer but there's no episodes in my play-list.
It's always films from theatres (2012, inception, burning plain etc...).

Have you got an other idea?

See you later...
One thing you might have to do is bring up the view options, the options when in Movies that change view, and change the "sort by" to playlist, o sort by duration might work?

I verify what you said to me. I think it's OK. See the print screen:

In fact I made an error. The sorting look like this:

100, 101, 102, 110, 115, 180, 82, 85, 90, 98, 99
--------------------------> Fall -------------->

I understand what happen. XBMC look the first number of each file. That's why 100 is Before 82.

What can I do? Is it a bug? If yes what can I do?

Thank you.

Bye bye...
