Bump would really appreciate some help?
I am not sure if I am missing something in my posts, but does everyone else using Linux/live have this problem?

Does everyone else just use skips?

Thanks
try setting your audio processing to a minimum. HDMI only output with no processing and no passthrough worked for me in reducing this to an absolute minimum.

I have not troubleshooted further, but rumors point to Pulseaudio possibly having some impact in this.
Try turning off navigation sounds.
Hi guys,

Thanks for the replies. I have tried both suggestions and I think this has reduced it a little, but it is still there and quite noticable.

Is this just an inherent limitation of pulseaudio/xbmc in linux, or can anything be changed so this works smoother?

thanks
I have this same issue on both my XBMC HTPCs. I have to admit, it's much more severe on my Atom/ION PC though, which had me thinking it maybe had something to do with CPU power, yet if that was the case there's no reason it should be happening on my Quad Core PC so I've basically given up hope... Hoping someone figures this one out, as it's really annoying. Luckily this issue is not present when using timeseek skipping (30 second/10 minute skips), which is weird.
