Hey Guys ,

Long time user of XBMC on original xbox.
Just installed via patchstick and all is updated.

Sharing files from an external drive (bitlocker enabled) using UpNp on a Win 7 pc.

My initial setup was great it picked up the share folder and all sub folders.

BUT

2 big issues are coming up.

1. I folder full of FLV files are not showing up at all. The two mp4 videos are so I know the folder is being checked but the FLV dont show up at all.

Does ATV version play FLVs at all ?

2. One folder has a single MP4 video showing yet none of the others (of about 20)

Ive tried setting "scan on startup" ,
Ive moved files around just to see if "sample" videos appear.
Ive placed new WMV files in there.
Renaming to shorter file names.
Ive pulled the plug rebooted both PC , external and ATV.
None of these files are getting picked up.
Boxee isnt seeing them either.

Other videos that do appear thus far work fine.
Very confused as my xbox never seemed to have these issues. Anything I may be doing wrong ?
If streaming via UPnP/DLNA then the media server must support the file type in order for the UPnP client to access it.

It sounds like your server does not support the flv container. Try a demo version of Twonky and see if the files show or use the built in UPnP server of XBMC if you install it on the PC. You could share out the folders too over network and access via SMB instead so you dont need UPnP
