I have a acer revo hooked up to my reciever through hdmi i have everything set to hdmi in the audio settings and have selected 2.1 but the system is only outputting 2.0 and im not getting anything to my subwoofer

any ideas?

We don't mix anything to the subwoofer unless the audio stream has a subwoofer channel, you should set speaker config to 2.0 and let your receiver do the mixing.
