Full Version: Strange Audio/Visual distortion and slow down

I have 2 (that ive found so far) films in my xbmc library that play extremely strangely.

The first one, seems to be playing in slow-mo but the sound jumps, like 1 sec gaps (if that makes sense)

The second one plays fine visually but the sound doesnt work but every 5 seconds or so will play a real distoreted screech sound for 1 second.

These films both play absolutely perfectly in VLC media player, so I can't get my head round what is going on.

Any help would be very much appreciated Big Grin Let me know if you need anymore infomation

Thanks
Turn on debug logging, then close XBMC. Now start XBMC, play one of the films for a couple of minutes, close XBMC and post the xbmc.log on pastebin.com for us to have a look at.

hey, sorry for the really late reply but I have been busy for last week.

I ran the bug on one of the films and it's huge lol, There seems to be a couple of common errors appearing in the log though which are:

13:31:45 T:5824 M:2390982656 ERROR: CDVDPlayerAudio:Big GrinecodeFrame - Decode Error. Skipping audio packet
13:31:45 T:5824 M:2390982656 DEBUG: CDVDPlayerAudio:Tonguerocess - Decode Error

and

13:31:45 T:5824 M:2390999040 ERROR: ffmpeg[16C0]: [truehd] restart header sync incorrect (got 0x162a)

and

13:31:45 T:5824 M:2391023616 ERROR: ffmpeg[16C0]: [truehd] restart header sync incorrect (got 0x17f2)

and

13:31:45 T:5824 M:2391134208 ERROR: ffmpeg[16C0]: [truehd] Invalid blocksize.Invalid channel 10 specified as output from matrix.

I also noticed when running the films that this particular one would run on an FPS of about 35-45 (well above the normal 24) and my CPU cores were running at about 80%.

The other film I have had trouble with seems to be running at half the normal FPS (12.6) and there sound stutters as if it keeps breaking so it can sync with the frames being displayed (here the core only runs at like 5%)

If you need anymore info, or still want me to paste the whole log on pastebin, just give me a shout

Cheers
