About 20% of my mp4/m4v movies will not be recognized correctly. When played, the screen remains black but the sound is OK.
All files have been recoded by Handbrake (incl. the 80% working).
After converting such a „problem movie“ to MKV by Mkvtoolnix, the video is shown smoothly. With this kind of conversion, only the container is changed, the audio and video tracks remain untouched.
I tested this strange behavior on 2 Macs with different systems (10.5.8 and 10.6.5).
