I have recently compiled and installed xbmc svn revision # 35744 on my fedora 14 x86_64 HTPC with a Radeon Mobility HD5450 video card. I have installed Catalyst 10.12 driver from ATI's website. I am solely using alsa. Pulseaudio is completely uninstalled. If I enable the option Settings -> Playback -> Sync playback to display, when I play any video, XBMC crashes as soon as I stop the video, no matter what AV Sync method I am using. Additionally, when I ff or rw videos, the audio and video gets out of sync sometimes, usually when I go at 16x or 32x. What could be the problem?

I would like to know this as well. I have never been able to get the AV Sync to work.

Are you using the Catalyst driver as well? This option is working fine on my other xbmc setup with an Nvidia card.

This is a bug in the ati driver.
