Hi All,

Im sorry if i have missed an obvious guide on how to do this but basically. My media is stored on a external drive attached to my windows PC.

I have a Macbook which I would like to access my xbmc stored on PC from my Mac. Can anyone help me set this up?

On the windows pc share THE whole drive. Preferably readonly

The on Mac try using find server in finder to find share. If you can't google smb Mac.

When you locate the share inside XBMC add location and select smb

Im as far as point 3. I have added the location as a shared area and can see the shared folder on my mac. When I try to add the location as a smb in xbmc I can browse to the location but it asks me for a username and password. The one I used to add the location to my mac does not work?
