hi there, i have xbmc running on my softmodded xbox, with project mayhem III, i mainly used it for my movies, music and shoutcast (which i believe no longer works) anyway....

i want to upgrade to dharma, can anyone give me instructions on how to do this?? or at least point me in the right direction.....

i downloaded the iso from http://xbmc.org/theuni/2010/12/18/xbmc-10-0/ and burnt the image - but it wont run or install from it!

any help/guidance will be appreciated.

thanks
We don't support Dharma on the XBox any more. Try http://xbmc4xbox.org/.

thanks JR

ive had the project mayhem III xbmc running for a while now and have been happy with it, just tohought id upgarde to something a bit newer/up-to-date.

i know the shoutcast thing doesnt work any more, but have notice my 'news feed' type thing across the bottom on home screen is also not functioning.

i can still stream music and videos from my networked pc and laptop. any suggestions as to what i can upgrade to??

cheers.
Any of the ION and ION2 based HTPCs will be fine for XBMC. I use a Revo 3610, though I think this has been superceded by the 3700.

http://www.xbmcboxes.com/ is a site maintained by one of the XBMC developers, and it has lots of good stuff on it.

I used a softmodded XBox for years (I still have three in a cupboard somewhere that I can't bring myself to throw away :-) but modern HTPCs are much much nicer. My Revo 3610 is smaller than an XBox, quieter than an XBox and plays 1080p videos, though I'd have to concede it's a lot more expensive than an XBox.

Cheers JR, il have a look at that site, and also do some research on the HTPCs u have suggested.

Thanks for taking time to reply.
