Hi All,
I wish to have one box which is able to run XBMC and also stream movies to my sons XBOX 360 (transcoded). I have almost successfully done this using Ubunutu 10.10 running XBMC and PS3 Media Server. However, when running Ubuntu Desktop the performance of the NVIDIA graphics for HD playback in XBMC is not quite as smooth as the XBMC live achieves. Also, I am unable to get my ASUS XONAR D1 (SPDIF out to the NVIDIA) to work in XBMC although it works in Ubuntu fine.
Anyway to the question, is it either possible to somehow run PS3 Media Server under a hard disk install of XBMC Live or can anyone suggest where I might be going wrong with the Video/Sound issues under Ubuntu Desktop 10.10.
