Don't think this a pure skin dev question, however are there still plans for TeamXBMC to merge the library and file view sections, so XBMC becomes 100% library based?

Jeroen on the ReFocus release thread makes mention of it in his 'good to know' section...

Yes. The first step is simply adding a "files" node to the root of the video lib.
