Hi there,
I've recently installed XBMC on my Ubuntu machine ( 10.10 ) & am looking into being able to control it via either the web interface or the Android client but I am encountering some difficulties. I can see the song which is currently playing & pause / play / skip / etc it but when I try to view the music library, the Android client tells me I have no albums & the web interface does nothing apart from displaying an animated gif of a circle.
I have ticked all the boxes on the NETWORK-SETTINGS screen & changed the port from the default one to 8889.
On my router I have created a service for the EventServer on port 9777 & added a rule to forward all traffic on that port to my Ubuntu machine.
However I still have no joy, I have checked to see if the port is listening but I don't think it is; when I look on port 8889 I can see that xbmc.bin is listening & also has an established connection to my phone but when I look on port 9777, nothing is returned.
Can anyone help me out?
Thanks!
