Hey well thnx, I did that now my xbmc is not loading anymore and just showing the login screen, I did this:

I get the boot screen, thats loading XBMC, but XBMC does not start anymore, it just shows my login

What did i do wrong? =/ Shit man


When trying to start xbmc it says:

Error: unable to open display

if you followed those instructions, you should still have your old home under /oldhome

Ok, then you have learnt something.
Follow the instructions exactly and make a backup. I am sure it can be fixed but it will be hard for anyone to figure out exactly what you did wrong.

BTW, next time find guide a bit newer than 2006....perhaps one written for the version of Ubuntu you are using.

Can I atleast get an URL to a good tutorial this time -.- help is not really been helpfull did a reinstlal.
