Hi, sorry if this is answered somewhere but i cant find it ...

is there any linux dist working currently with xbmc pvr or does all have
this "cannot play channel ..." issue ?

working fine for me on ubuntu 10.10 64bit using TVHeadEnd for the backend. Didn't have any luck using mythtv though.

about ubuntu front end with mediaportal backend

as debug log shows here

looks like a problem with the mediaportal addon. you'll have to ask margro for help in that case.
