I have a "master" server at home running XBMC, and I often want to download shows or movies from the server to another machine to watch locally. Is there any way, particularly through the web interface, to achieve this?

Failing that, is there _any_ way to watch a show from XBMC on another machine in general?

It sounds as if you need to copy the file using whatever method the operating system supports. You haven't given us any clues about what operating system(s) you're using.

To watch videos on a second PC I would install XBMC on that second PC, then share the appropriate directorys on the master and add those shares as a source on the second PC. As a last resort you can play media from the master PC using uPnP, but this isn't as nice as using network shares.
