Installation of XBMC successful, tried two different OS's, Win 7 or W2K8 R2

Starting program throws error:

FATAL: CApplication::Create: Unable to init rendering system

GT 8500 Graphic card with latest drivers

You need to supply a log. To get the log to us press Windows-R and in the Run dialog type:

%appdata%\xbmc\xbmc.log

and click OK and the log should open in Notepad. Copy and paste the contents to pastebin.com (don't post them here!!) and post the link to it.

Are you trying to use XBMC via Remote Desktop? That's one of the common causes of this problem.
