So, after hearing a lot about xbmc, i decided to install it and test it out. I heard XBMC was a great way to stream content from one computer to another, and thats what Im after.

So heres what I did so far:

I installed it on my Mac.
I installed in on my Win7 PC.

Under video source in Mac, I added my huge folder of videos.

Under video source in Windows, I added the Upnp source that appeared to be some sort of XBMC server, and i assumed this was my mac xbmc running.

But then none of my videos appeared, and i have no clue what to do from here.

So..... how do i stream videos from my mac to my pc using xbmc?

You added your sources but have you 'set content' for them so they get scanned into your library?

oh. yep. that was it. now it works. Thanks, I was getting so frustrated.
