I'm new to XBMC and I apologize if this has been posted before. I'm having difficulties in organizing my music. I've found lots of info on folder hierarchy in regards to movies/tv shows. However, I have found little pertaining to music organization. Aside from editing my ID3 tags I'm not sure what to do.

Info: Windows 7 64bit, Simplicity Skin

The typical recommendation is:

Music/artist/album/songs.flac

This has benefits in that everything is nicely organised. For pure tag reading, XBMC doesn't really need this at all. For additional local information (folder.jpg in the album directory for album art, folder.jpg/fanart.jpg in the artist directory for artist thumb/fanart) it has some benefits. Similarly it has some benefits for compilations in the case where the tags don't make it explicit.
