Hi,

Since a few days ago I don't have sound anymore through the S/PDIF connection of my HTPC (ASRock ION 3D).

But the weird thing is that when there are songs playing(no matter what format there in) I have one song WITH sound and the next one WITHOUT sound and then the next song again WITH sound and the next one WITHOUT sound again and so on and so on...(alternately one song with sound and one song without sound) Very odd!

The sound works fine through the other sound connections (minijack). Only the optical connection gives this problem, very odd because several weeks ago there weren't ANY problems at all and I haven't used it since then... Untill a few days ago I started it up again and I got this problem.(I also don't have menu sounds whatsoever)

If anybody knows what could be the problem I'd be happy to know!

I know that when my sound suddenly stopped working it was "pulseaudio" who screwed it up
Uninstalled it and I got sound on S/PDIF again
