I'd be inteested in this too, i've seen the rather detailed thread on bt keyboard but it does not mention headphones. I dont currently own bt headphones but would get some if they work as this would really save me some grief from the wife at night

This really isn't an XBMC issue, though it might need some tweaking to work with XBMC if a solution existed. What you should do is see if anyone is working on a 3rd party bluetooth stack for audio. To the best of my knowlage the only one who has done this is Roqy for his GPS Bluetooth stack on iPod/iPhone/iPad, so maybe you could ask him for a lead/assistance.
