I played with it a bit when you first posted the info, also with vlc (don't recall if V2 or not - I have 1 & 2). vlc seemed happy working from the higher level m3u and fetching the nested m3u's, but would not play anything for me, either.

FWIW, when dealing with http streaming, I always worry a bit about http headers, in particular useragent, as historically I've seen some sources constrain or block on that basis.(ie what does vlc send in header?)

I previously mentioned a google search; I don't remember which source ('cupertino' rings a bell) but for some reason I believe that the player is supposed to auto-increment the filename on an ongoing basis. Just did that search again; nothing is jumping out at me, sorry.

FYI - My dsl went flaky this afternoon and service truck won't arrive until Monday morning. In addition, some RL issues to deal with (funeral Sat.), so I may not active for a few days.

It's the same as the openelec version I posted earlier - that was also for a R-Pi:

Hey good idea! Why didnt we think of this soonerHuh
The reason I ask is that I PM'ed him a week or so ago with no answer. Maybe someone has a direct email to him is all. Usually the developer pops in to check his threads & see whats going on.

Additionally, no love for Apple users, NOT ATV? It seems theres a patch for just about every platform except Apple OSX. Can I provide anything to speed this up, excluding coding and compiling? Much love to all that have helped so far. :-)
There is now a fix for Veetle on the ATV2 read more here:

Post 243 here has the 10.1 (Dharma) Apple TV 1st gen fix. There are some reports it doesn't work on the 11 release (Eden) (post 296) but try it and see if it works for you.
