Hello,
I have been running Media Portal for quite some time,but am now looking at using XBMC. I have the latest (10.1) XBMC Live running off a USB stick for now.
I was able to get audio working via the HDMI cable (using plughw:0,3), and music plays just fine. However, when I watch a movie I get a beep in the background every 10-15 seconds. I have tried several different movies and it happens with all of them. My movies are all in MKV files, using h.264 with AC3 audio for the standard def movies and DTS audio for the high def movies. I do not hear the beeps in the MP3s.
All these movies play just fine in Media Portal, as well as VLC & Windows Media Player.
Does anyone have any ideas of what could be causing the beeps?
