Hi,

I just don't understand what the Programs-Menu in XBMC is supposed to do? I'd like to run an exe from that menu, but I can only select Folders, but no EXE files there.

How can I start an EXE from within XBMC?

The add-on 'Launcher' will allow you to start applications from within XBMC

The Programs menu is for running XBMC programs i.e. Add-ons and Scripts. It won't run Windows programs directly. If you want to run Windows apps there are several XBMC add-ons that do this. The Launcher add-on, mentioned by rocketpants, is popular, as are Executor and Advanced launcher.

To install these add-ons use System settings, Add-ons, Get Add-ons, XBMC.org Add-ons, Program Add-ons.
