Hey,

im planning to build a htpc solution for my homecinema.
Therefore im looking for a software which can handle all my media, xbmc seems to be the right choice.
But i have a question which i could not solve by using google. Is it possible to have a 21" Touchscreen and da TV connected to one pc and use the touchscreen as "remote" or infopanel? so that i can choose my mp3 or movies which a want to see/hear on the touchscreen and that the movie ist displayed on the tv? while the movie is running it would be nice if the touchscreen would be used as a infopanel showing cover of the movie or something like that.
On the other hand it would be nice if the touchscreen could be used solo, without the tv, when i only want to listen to my music.

So in short my planned build:

touchscreen via hdmi or usb to the htpc. from the htpc one hdmi to the a/v receiver and then to my tv

hopefully someone understands my problemSmile
Absolutely possible. Check the supplemental tools section of the forum. There are remotes for every kind of operating systems for your touchscreen device (ios-devices, android, windows etc.) There's even an official remote for android devices.
