I've added the patch to the xbmc-favorites plugin (see my sig for download)

- nicoli_k - 2008-07-17

I see there is now a 1.4 version available both for XBMC and windows. I'm don't have access to my xbox right now, but the simple "hack" worked just fine so if 1.4 just includes that then good to go. i've tested the windows version on a couple films and it seems to be up and running too. great job Unbehagen!

Version 1.4 contains just the above fix.

Ninja Video doesn't seem to be working on the Xbox with the latest version of both Ninja video plugin and veo.

it works for me. poor boy. thanks for this detailed bug report, those really make my day - "this isn't working" always makes me spot the bugs an eliminate them instantly.

Fixed the problem which was my problem. The Ninja video update did not tranfer onto the Xbox completely.

Sorry about the lack of info in my last post.

Problems with the Movie section - baxtermedic - 2008-07-17

I cannot seem to get any of the movies to work, the shows and other stuff is fine.

What build of XBMC are you using to get everything stable.

Plus I cannot seem to find the MPlayer dll anywhere.

I have the newest veoh and ninja video.

Excuse my ignorance this is my first post.

I think...maybe - baxtermedic - 2008-07-17

I think I got it to work. I am using the dvd player instead of the original mplayer. I am using the June build of XBMC because apparently the video playback in the new build isn't working for me or anyone.

I would still like a link to the mplayer dll if anyone has it...thanks everyone.

If you like quality video, check out my Adult Swim section on Navi-X script for XBMC! Some of the episodes look like a 1 for 1 DVD copy without skipping or loss of video quality! If you love Adult Swim, your gonna love Navi-X!

Using the DVDPLAYER on T3CH 2008-08-12 rev14853 works fine for me on NinjaVideo & everything else.

Sometimes I see artifacts on NinjaVideo streams, but rarely. It's been like that for me since the plugin came out.

So.. if I am running:

XBMC-SVN_2008-06-30_rev13851-T3CH

I should upgrade as a possible fix to the NinjaVideo issues that am havinging?

example - attempting to watch The Big Bang Theory 1x16 via my PC works no problem, but on the Xbox, it will never get past the last pip on the 'opening file' dialog.

If upgrading is the possible, do I just do it through the dashboard or just download it and ftp it over?

Thanks.
Andy

certain video files do not contain audio and haven`t been packed correctly.

Also, if the filename appears to be slightly messed up - caused by utf-8 translation problems then the video will not run either. Only a few files like this.

FYI.

Hi Voinage,

Do you think that I should upgrade the XBMC from the versoin I am currently running? Will that improve anything?

thanks for the help.

Problem:
NinjaVideoUpdate does not play videos.

What I've Done:
Deleted my xbmc folder, got latest t3ch release and installed it.
Got veohproxv1.4 from code.google and installed in scripts folder, got NinjaVideoUpdate from code.google and installed in plugins/video folder.
Added VideoPlugin source NinjaVideoUpdate.
Ran VeohProxyv1.4 in xbmc (next to it says running).
I then goto NinjaVideoUpdate, select TvShows, So You Think You Can Dance, Season 4, Episode 1 - Play Using DVDPlayer.
It spends a very long time "loading" (circle top right corner spinning) but then does nothing.

About Connection:
Comcast 8mb tier, no other traffic coming in or out.
Linksys WRT54gs with DD-WRTv24sp1

Other Notes of Possible Interest:
My brother has the same setup (lives in another state) and reports that the above Show/Episode play just fine for him.
I enabled the debugging log this last time in hopes that maybe it will be helpful to someone here to find out what is wrong.

Thank you in advance for any help!

*UPDATE
I have found that if I change my resolution from 1080i down to the lowest setting that NinjaVideoUpdate seems to work. I am assuming this is a free ram problem at this point.

Is there anything I can do to make it work while sticking with 1080i?
Is there something other than resolution I can change to free some ram?
Anyone having luck running 1080i xbmc with 1080i video player settings while doing NinjaVideoUpdate?
