Your Skin Helper Version is not up to date.
You are using latest version from Repo I assume (Version 1.0.90 according to your log)
Latest Version from Git is 1.0.106
To have the skin working correctly, make sure, you run the latest nightly Version of Kodi as well as the latest Version of the required Addons from GIt
You find links to the latest version on first post.

If Kodi would show the Year the Season aired, I would be happy, but it isn't
As you can see in my 1st Screenshot, Better Call Saul is selected (S02E05) but the Year is displayed as 1969.
According to your above statement Year should be 2016 for this one, but it isn't.
Whatever TV Show I select in First Row, the Year is always 1969
In my 2n Screenshot I selected POI. The Episode selected by the Widget is S04E15.
Season 4 of POI aired 2015, so the Year should be 2015 according what you said. But its the Year POI Season 01 came out.
However in the Random Episode Widget at least the Year shown is related to the selected TV Show.
e.g If I select Leverage the Year shown is 2008 (e.g. S04E18) (The Year Leverage came out ). Although it should be 2011 (Season 4 first aired.)
So there is something not right. I don't know if its a Skin issue or a Skin.helper issue
I think it's skin helper issue, not return correct year. ListItem.Year is correct argument.

I had to do a clean wipe of my android box, using the latest nightly builds. Tried installing skin and I "failed to install a dependency". any idea how to resolve this?

Need debug log.
There is only script.skinshortcuts and script.skin.helper.service install with skin.
Install all necessary addons before and retry.

When I select an ongoing movie (e.g. Avatar) from the main screen (picture 1) and go to the datails page the poster is missing (picture 2). This is not the case if I select the same movie from librabry view (picture 3)
I am using the latest nightly build.

Also the 'recently added' category isn't showing up on the main screen although when I select it from the top menu it's filled with movies.

Issue with Windows/OSX builds, no problem with LibreELEC.

When watching live TV, pull up the info and move to metedata tab.
The language and subtitle icons cover the next up program.

Seems like animated posters does not work with "in progress movies" widget (red) but works for other widget (blue)
If you browse TV show in wall wiew, it shows first season year instead of aired year for épisodes (works fine if you change to list view)
Same date issue when playing episode
