On my Shield TV I see Current HDMI mode YUV 420 10bit Rec.2020 and it is for default. I can't change it, it is impossible.I'm sure I explained this a long time ago in a previous post? SETTTINGS->Display & Sound->Advanced Settings->HDMI settings This brings up the full HDMI menu - you disable Set to Recommended. Then set Filter by Resolution to 3840x2160, Filter by Refresh Rate to 50Hz That will then let you Filter by colour space to chose Rec 709 or Rec 2020, in RGB, 444, 422, 420 and various bit depths. The final mode(s) you can chose after the three filters appear in the bottom entry under HDMI display modes RE: nVidia Shield TV (2015 & 2017 Models) - UPDATED: May 25, 2018 - KaBoS - 2018-12-28 Hello, 7.2.1 good for daily use ? , Thanks RE: nVidia Shield TV (2015 & 2017 Models) - UPDATED: May 25, 2018 - FoxADRIANO - 2018-12-28 After a month working on Shield TV, do you think I didn't go there? Thank youI had the same problem. The remote wouldn't charge. nVidia replaced it under warranty. I received a 2nd gen model as a replacement - which takes user replaceable batteries rather than being rechargeable. RE: nVidia Shield TV (2015 & 2017 Models) - UPDATED: May 25, 2018 - actarus1 - 2018-12-30 I will try to write about this problem to nvidia. Thank you. Do yuo know where can I ask about? Tested Kodi, Netflix, Prime Video and Youtube. Even with 10-bit 2020 4k as the default output, the menus output in 709, as does pretty much everything, except HDR signals, which switch automatically in all apps (except Youtube obviously). I'm running on an LG C8, so the 2020 / 709 conversion wasn't much of a problem for me anyway, but nice to have things in their native format. Now if I could just figure out how to get Kodi to play DVD rips nicely on here. It defaults to 1080 / 59.94 since 1080 even when the movie is supposed to be 23.98. And HD-DVDs are a mess...having to remove pulldown on all the rips to get them to default to 23.98 instead of 29.97, and I have a 625 ms audio delay instead of 250 ms on everything else. |
