RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - och29 - 2019-08-11

Hoping someone can help. I'm only getting an error where only one of my subscriptions appears in Subscriptions and only videos from that channel appear in My Subscriptions. It's the same channel no matter what I do. I've tried a clean install of the addon and have also tried using the download from the GitHub repo. The channel that shows up is Phil Edwards - Carpenter. I've got a few hundred subscriptions so I wonder if it's too many to work. I've also had a look through and there are no special characters that appear in any of the names of channels that I subscribe to... assuming '&' doesn't count.

Log File - paste.kodi.tv
Windows 10
Leia 18.3
Clean install of the addon with personal API keys

Thanks

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - Mashiro-sama - 2019-08-14

Can this plugin play HDR video? All HDR videos in YouTube that I tried are played in SDR mode, with "washed" colors. Official Youtube client and smartyoutube can plаy that HDR content correct, swith video mode to HDR.
In inputstream settings "Allow HDR" enabled.

Windows 10 1903 Youtube plugin HTTPServer: Failed to start Errno 10013 - prinskarnatie - 2019-08-15

Hi

I've been getting the following error on Windows 10 1903 x64 running Kodi 19 (20190813-47fca6b6-master-x64) nightly with latest YouTube plugin pulled from GIT.

Snippet from Kodi debug log :

DEBUG: [plugin.video.youtube] HTTPServer: Failed to start |192.168.10.25:50152| |[Errno 10013] An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions|

Debug log : https://paste.kodi.tv/iretepaqax.kodi

I have been having this issue for a couple of weeks but not sure when it started (could have been the Windows update to 1903).

I have tried the following :

Run Kodi as administrator
Add specific firewall rule to allow tcp port 50152
Tried different network address local ip, localhost, 0.0.0.0
Windows defender in use with main Kodi.exe added as an exclusion.
Various Kodi 19 nightly and YouTube plugin alpha/beta/git versions

I have a similar setup running on Ubuntu 18.04 with no problems.

Any ideas/advice on how to investigate this further would be appreciated.

Thanks

Further update on this.

I've tested on a different port, 52520 and this resolves this. What is odd though is that port 50152 is not shown as in use by netstat -an.

HI,
Can I search and activate a window with a search result in a YouTube plugin from another plugin?
Sorry for Google translation.

Thanks. Updated to 6.5.0~beta3 using the zip file. Now I get
Code:
Exception: Error reason: |keyInvalid| with message: |Bad Request|

I'm having the same issue under 6.5.1, but I don't know where to find the cache that anxdpanic suggested to clear. Also, there is no API key input in the plugin settings. Any ideas?

Update: Uninstalling and re-installing the addon solved the issue for me.

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - Fluss - 2019-08-23

Hi all,
I have had this following issue for about a week now. I have been using the Youtube plugin: v6.5.1 since it was released and previous versions before that and have never had an issue for years.

In a nut shell I receive an error when signed in to my YouTube channel. "No streams Found". I can see the list of new posts in the My subscriptions folder, but nothing plays at all.
If I sign out I can play random videos, or if I sign into a different youtube channel, e.g. one that only has a couple of subs, it works OK, just seems to be my main channel.
I get the same error if I use same version of plugin on same version of Kodi on 2 different piecies of hardware. e.g. RP2 and Minix android box, so seem to be something to do with youtube account.

I have reset kodi back to factory on the RP2. I have signed out and attempted to run to 2 x auth code and verified that google account can see the Kodi plugin and youtube tv access has been granted several times. I removed the 3rd party access several times and retried.
I am at a loss why this has just started to happen. Other than a limit on the amount of subscribed channel allowed via the api which is used by the plugin? Before I go deleting subs, can anyone comment?
Any ideas?
I am at work at the moment but will post log when I get home later.

thank in advance.

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - muriloferraz - 2019-08-23

Hi. I am using Xbian in a Raspberry Pi 3 B+, with Kodi Leia v18.3.

I am using autoexec.py to run the following code:
Code:
import xbmc
xbmc.executebuiltin("PlayMedia(plugin://plugin.video.youtube/play/?playlist_id=PLn9tst_548zXssIHOo9f5H3p_gkfpojOT&order=shuffle&repeat=all&play=1)")

When I reboot the system, only the first video is played. The playlist is successfully loaded in the video playlist but only one video is played.

How can I fix this?

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - Jester - 2019-08-24

Hey @jdf76 is the get_live in the youtube_requests module exposed for external use ? ie, can I call a livestream from my own add-on ? (or .strm file)

currently we only have plugin://plugin.video.youtube/play/?video_id=$VIDEOID
would plugin://plugin.video.youtube/play/?get_live=$CHANNELID work ? / or be an idea ?

Thanks for your work

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - debennett2 - 2019-08-28

I've been wondering and asking this off and on for a while, but, here we go. Is there a possibility to integrate this plugin, BestofYourube.com plugin and so forth into Kodi in a way that allows for liking and sharing? It would seem to me tagging something as liked via a keyboard shortcut or "sharing" on social media via the same would be something anyone would want, no? Not trying to sound snotty about it, just wondering if there has been any thought into doing such and if this would take a lot of cooperation from Kodi development?

I think I'm seeing the same issue just now.  When signed-in, I've not been able to play any videos.  Signed-out, the same videos play OK (I've used random choices from 'Popular Right Now').  Just noticed it recently, sorry can't pin it down exactly, but within last 2 weeks?

Brief extract from Kodi log when video fails is:

Hi!

is it possible to watch youtube live videos trough PVR Simple Client in Kodi android version? I'm using Kodi in a Windows 10 Enterprise Ver. 1803 and it all work. But in my Android phone a tv box I can't make it work...

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - Tarot15 - 2019-09-05

So, it's been about two weeks since this Addon has been inaccessible.

I'm running Kodi off a Raspberry Pi through Retropi. It keeps telling me that there is a youtube error and to check the log, but i cant see any log being created. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know as it's been really hampering my quiet time at home.

thanks,
