Got the Zappa figure out I think, but now Alexa says : can't find device called kodi. What else did i do wrong? Is it something simple to fix?

Thank You
Steve

@steve55792, is the skill visible as an enabled skill in your Alexa app?

RE: Amazon Echo skill for Kodi - steve55792 - 2017-08-13

I dont think so, how would a person get the app for alexa? Because I dont think it like pandora or spotify that is already on the alexa app. I went thru the alexa app from website to enable pandora but i dont have an alexa app(for windows 10).

RE: Amazon Echo skill for Kodi - jingai - 2017-08-13

The app you used to initially set up your Echo.

RE: Amazon Echo skill for Kodi - steve55792 - 2017-08-13

I used the web browser google chrome

Can you answer my question? I can't help you if you don't help me..

On alexa.amazon.com (this is the 'Alexa App'), under Skills->Your Skills, is it there or not?

RE: Amazon Echo skill for Kodi - steve55792 - 2017-08-13

I'm sorry, had a moment there. No I dont have kodi under Your Skills.

RE: Amazon Echo skill for Kodi - jingai - 2017-08-13

On the Skill Developer Console under the Test tab, is the skill enabled? Are you using the same account that you use for your Echo device?

RE: Amazon Echo skill for Kodi - steve55792 - 2017-08-13

yes im using the same account. and when i enabled it thru the test tab, this happened
Error: Please Add AMAZON.ResumeIntent and AMAZON.PauseIntent in interaction model to enable the skill.

RE: Amazon Echo skill for Kodi - jingai - 2017-08-13

Both of those exist in the interaction model if you pasted it correctly. Copy/paste the Intent Schema and Sample Utterances again. Verify all of the Custom Slots exist and are populated. Then press Save at the bottom. Go to the Test tab and try to enable again.

RE: Amazon Echo skill for Kodi - steve55792 - 2017-08-13

i added resumeintent and pauseintent

RE: Amazon Echo skill for Kodi - jingai - 2017-08-13

No.. don't just add things on your own.. please do as I said.

RE: Amazon Echo skill for Kodi - steve55792 - 2017-08-13

now it says : Error: Please add an intent schema before enabling the skill.

RE: Amazon Echo skill for Kodi - steve55792 - 2017-08-13

nevermind about the last error.

RE: Amazon Echo skill for Kodi - jingai - 2017-08-13

...all I can really tell you is that you need to follow the documentation exactly. It sounds like you're skipping stuff or adding stuff on your own, and I can guarantee nothing will work if you do that.
