- fl0PPsy - 2011-02-25 Is there a working version of the PVR addon for the windows version of XBMC? - opdenkamp - 2011-02-25 @fl0PPsy: it's under development. you can try margro's windows builds, http://www.scintilla.utwente.nl/~marcelg/xbmc/prebuild.html don't know how up to date those builds are. - bsneaker - 2011-02-25 lon_ Wrote:@dushmaniac: You can try to uninstall throught 'Ubuntu Software Center'. Then remove '/home/[user]/.xbmc', reinstall again throught 'Ubuntu Software Center'. First install xbmc-bin, Second xbmc-data and finally xbmc-skin-confluence. It works for me. - fl0PPsy - 2011-02-26 @dushmaniac Thanks, I've tried the latest margo build(23-01-2011) but the TVheadend addon doesnt seem to work. In the log I keep getting the following error:- Code: 13:46:15 T:3016 M:726462464 ERROR: AddOnLog: xbmc.pvrclient/Tvheadend HTSP Client: ERROR: HTSP Data Listener thread 5328 won't end (waited 3 seconds) - canceling it... - speed32219 - 2011-02-26 Trying to get the epg working, I'm using OTA. After reading I decided I needed to setup xmltv to get EPG working, but when I try and set up xmltv selecting the North America (data direct), IT tells me to run /usr/bin/tv_grab_na_dd --configure from terminal. When I run that command I set the time, user name and password and then get an error that I need to sign up with "schedule direct" first. When I go to that site to setup a user account, it is free for 7 days but has a monthly cost to keep on using. I have not signed up yet, and I was wondering is there a free service that I can use for local epg? I found some out there but I do not know how to add it as antoher grabber within tvheadend. Or is there an Addon from xbmc that can be used? - speed32219 - 2011-02-26 grassmunk Wrote:Where did you get the card? I'm thinking of getting one to replace the one I have. Bought it through amazon dot com 1.5 yrs ago for about $45 and just started to use it. Works great, I didn't even need to load a driver, came right up using Maverick 10.10. With my el cheapo uhf/vhf $4 antenna I get 5 channels with 4 in HD. No problem switching channels, basicly just like my dish network setup. I think it has FM also, but haven't really looked for it. I found hitting select again does it, but good to know enter does also. xbmc and tvheadeny hd streaming - dmankg - 2011-02-27 we have 3 switches connected using gigabit connection. each switch connected to 17 tv sets. if each hd channel consume 12mbit then 12mbit*17=204mbit then we r ok with bandwidth. we have tested with sd channels only for about 1,5 month and had probably no more then 3-4 crashes. seems very stable. now we would like to start streaming hd channels that was our aim if somebody have some advices plzzz give us a hint! thanks dushmaniac Wrote:in the development version, the logos that are set in tvheadend will automatically be set in xbmc. - opdenkamp - 2011-02-28 @fl0PPsy: I'll do a window build myself this week. @speed32219: you'll have to execute this as user 'hts': Code: /usr/bin/tv_grab_na_dd --configure @dmankg: didn't do the calc, but looks good. what advice are you looking for? hd channels streaming - dmankg - 2011-02-28 dushmaniac Wrote:@fl0PPsy:i mean is tvheadend is capable doing this. sd channels no problem. have somebody tried how tvheadend manage to stream hd channels simultaneusly to few clients. is it the same stable as sd channels or may be some problems may occur. - opdenkamp - 2011-02-28 having no problems here when serving a couple of hd streams (3-4 at a time). hd streams are handled as any other stream by tvheadend, nothing special there except for the bandwidth it uses. - odoll - 2011-03-01 Is this the same stream, but to more than one client at the same time? How did you do this? When I tried (XBMC Live) to watch another stream via a "second" client I think I got a message telling me something that TVHeandend is already locked by another client. Do I have to use distinct user accounts in TVheadend for this? - opdenkamp - 2011-03-01 I never actually looked at which tuners were in use and I got multiple tuners. tvheadend should use the same tuner if you tune in to a channel that is on a mux that is currently tuned. you better ask andoma (or someone else) in #hts on freenode about the details. - moontan77 - 2011-03-01 i added a ticket for that issue before http://www.lonelycoder.com/redmine/issues/342 Sometimes it would use just the one tuner for two channels on the same transponder but other times it would not. Have 4 usb tuners now so fortunately it isnt an issue i notice anymore. - masej - 2011-03-01 My setup Server: dual core E6700, 8gb ram, 6tb hd, nvidia 8600 gt, 3 x TT3600 DVB-S2, xbmc live 10.0 + tvheadend (2:10.5-dharma+pvr~odk48) Clients: 3x ION 330 based clients running xbmc live (2:10.5-dharma+pvr~odk48) 1 x HP TouchSmart 600-1220sc + 2xlaptops running win7 version of xbmc 10.0 My problem Picture freezes sometimes on my clients when streaming from my server. Every time picture freeze this type of xbmc.log is generated http://pastebin.com/PKWtq011 Sometimes streaming resumes after 10-60 seconds but sometimes I have to zap to another channel and back again. tvheadend log on my server does not log anything when this appears. Signal quality is perfect according to my dreambox Any hints? - opdenkamp - 2011-03-02 @masej: looks like you're having buffer underruns. there's no fix available for the version you're using. it hasn't been fixed in the development version yet either, but it won't happen that often anymore. |
