RE: nVidia Shield TV (2015 & 2017 Models) - UPDATED: May 25, 2018 - noggin - 2021-10-09 (2021-10-09, 08:01)ars92 Wrote: MX player and the normal player aren’t giving you Atmos right? They usually down mix the audio or only play the ac3 core audio from the trueHD audio. True HD doesn't have an AC3 core does it? I thought that the AC3 track that accompanies True HD stuff was independent (i.e. a compatible second track) and not used to reconstruct the True HD from an AC3 core + additional supplementary audio (unlike DTS HD HRA and MA which use a DTS core and then add additional data that uses the core as a basis to construct the higher quality audio?) Or am I mis-remembering? (ISTR that Dolby True HD tracks may have 'hidden' the AC3 secondary compatible track - but that it wasn't used in the MLP compression used by True HD?) I believe there is indeed some expectation about atmos frame size limits in old kodi that these new videos are breaking. The fix hasn't made it into the official build yet.(2021-10-07, 10:53)DaTwoPak Wrote:(2021-10-03, 13:17)ars92 Wrote: Oh man, anyone tried watching Free Guy blu ray mkv with atmos audio on shield TV with kodi yet? I dunno but it seems like the audio drop out issue is back, at least for me. Shield TV 2015,kodi 18.9, PlexKodiConnect.Got the same problem on my Shield aswell with Kodi 19.0. There are Audio drop outs that occur every time at the exact time stamp. (13:40 where he collects Money | 13:41 Transition from ATM to Office). Funny thing is when playing trough MX Player or normal Android Video player from Photo/Video Library the drop outs are non existant. There was a fix merged to stable branch for it. RE: nVidia Shield TV (2015 & 2017 Models) - UPDATED: May 25, 2018 - SpeedyWay - 2022-01-12 It looks like Experience 9.0 is online. Link to announcement: https://blogs.nvidia.com/blog/2022/01/12/shield-experience-9/ Would it be safe to upgrade to Android 11? |
