RE: Xiaomi 4K HDR 'Mi Box' (Android TV set-top box) - azbest - 2018-03-17 6.0.1 MOB31Z 1901 is made to the public. It has "Update contains fixing of Youtube TV playback issues". I saw some complains about youtube not playing videos with 1304, but I had none of them. So, I hope it doesn't break it RE: Xiaomi 4K HDR 'Mi Box' (Android TV set-top box) - Crille4 - 2018-03-27 Anyone who knows remote code for long press arrow down, default it's subs on off, normal press is <key id="61569">playpause</key> RE: Xiaomi 4K HDR 'Mi Box' (Android TV set-top box) - Ogreen - 2018-03-29 Do you think android TV 8 update will solve autoframe rate issue ? RE: Xiaomi 4K HDR 'Mi Box' (Android TV set-top box) - crestorrep - 2018-03-29 I have a new issue. Every few seconds, I'm getting a pop up saying "unfortunately, YouTube stopped" I have uninstalled and reinstalled YouTube update. Still having the same issue. I'm wondering if this is related to the firmware update. I have also force stopped the app and rebooted system. Happens all the time even when watching Netflix or something's else with YouTube not playing. I can actually play YouTube videos and they work, but I keep getting the pop up. Build 6.01 MOB31Z 1901 YouTube App v f4ebe109 is version in App settings, Google Play Store calls it 2.02.08 RE: Xiaomi 4K HDR 'Mi Box' (Android TV set-top box) - okininam - 2018-03-30 Just got the Mi Box and installed Kodi 17.6 on it. Everything is working great except I can't delete files (option to rename/delete files have been turned on). I select the file I want deleted, press and hold the OK button on the included remote to get the context menu, select delete. Kodi asks if I'm sure, I select yes but the file is not deleted. I have a RPi and Fire Stick loaded with Kodi and both allow me to delete files. What am I doing wrong? Been waiting 18 months for them to fix it. Don’t hold your breath. RE: Xiaomi 4K HDR 'Mi Box' (Android TV set-top box) - Groz - 2018-03-30 youtube problem confirm. Happens after the latest update that was supposed to sort youtube related problems.Very frequent and and annoying pop up saying "youtube has stopped".Utube has not stopped,is working fine but you have to constantly click ok to get rid of the message. This problem is worse than the occasional youtube playback problems that required a reboot to get videos playing. RE: Xiaomi 4K HDR 'Mi Box' (Android TV set-top box) - shrugg1e - 2018-04-02 [deleted] RE: Xiaomi 4K HDR 'Mi Box' (Android TV set-top box) - mateuzzz - 2018-04-04 I can't get KODI 18 alpha or any nightly to install on MDZ-16-AB version, only 17.6 from play store. Even when unknown sources are enabled , install is not active, both for 32bit or 64bit versions of android. Any tips how to get KODI 18 installed on MDZ-16-AB version Xiaomi 4K HDR 'Mi Box' (Android TV set-top box) - SuperLuigi - 2018-04-04 Which player do you suggest for live TV streaming? In kodi there's a lot of stuttering or pixelization. Does any setting makes it better? RE: Xiaomi 4K HDR 'Mi Box' (Android TV set-top box) - blindhai - 2018-04-06 I have this Box for a few days now, and perhaps it was mentioned before, but this MiBox has some issues with some Wifi router. I have searched some forums and i am not the only one, with that problem. It always say "[Name of the Wifi network] not found. You can connect it manually and it first say it works, but then it doesnt. Couldnt fix that yet, but i think it is worth mentioning (when it was not before). In the starting post it is not mentioned! In kodi there's a lot of stuttering or pixelization. From START HERE thread... Live OTA TV & High Quality deinterlacing. Q. I need a device with proper video deinterlacing for Over the Air (OTA) TV streaming from my HD Homerun or PVR server ? NOTE: Major Deinterlacing issues with some Krypton PVR Clients have been widely reported on ALL Android devices (click) Ordered from best deinterlacing picture output quality to the worst. In reality the Intel, AMLogic, Apple TV 4K and RPi's will be the most reliable.
It will be a miracle if you find any App that deinterlaces 1080p mpeg2 and H264 TV properly on the Mi Box. In kodi there's a lot of stuttering or pixelization. If you are using Tvheadend, it's worth trying these settings that I found in other forum: 1080i MPEG-TS stream in korea just use old tvheadend_v0.2.87 (Another ver - Not working) live channel app (Media Player instead of Exo Player), or another app use native player. and u must disable auto update in play store This is the only combination that gives me deinterlacing as good as any other Amlogic platform with 1080i H264 live TV streams such as BBC World News HD in Europe. Of course I have to manually set 25 Hz refresh rate in Android TV settings. RE: Xiaomi 4K HDR 'Mi Box' (Android TV set-top box) - wrxtasy - 2018-04-08 25Hz to match 25fps half motion deinterlacing is not equal to Amcodec full motion 50fps deinterlacing like you would get on say a AMLogic LibreELEC box. 25fps half motion is rubbish for fast action sports viewing. TV's motion interpolation causes all sorts of issues with such a low frame rate. Mpeg2 deinterlaced output is also blocky as well vs high quality Amcodec hardware deinterlacing. It's why the Mi box is at the bottom of the deinterlace hardware list. |
