Did you try smartplaylists and change the widget to show the smartplaylist?
Try using the Smart Playlist Manager. In the home menu customizer, hit enter on a section and select Smart Playlist Manager from the pop-up. Add your custom playlists here with the correct parameter (Recent, Random, Last, etc.) and they will create options for custom widgets and backgrounds elsewhere.

You should try with a fresh Aeon Nox 4.1.9 installation (just rename your C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\AppData\Roaming\XBMC folder or run XBMC in portable mode
Maybe it's because you are using color icon mode too.
I tried the reloaded icons set (white icons) and I'm getting the same result with the widget MPAA icon not showing correctly. SO, there is surely something broken in the git version I have. I probably modded something once and that's why I get this error. SO, I guess I won't have choice to start over with a fresh install if I want to get rid of the error if nobody can find something that could cause this.

Hi all just upgraded to Gotham and am currently running aeon nox 4.0.9 and can't seem to upgrade to the latest version.
I've downloaded it and added it to my usb stick. It's there when I try to install it but then nothing happens when I try.
Any Ideas?

Manually unzip the file to your Appdata/XBMC/Addons folder.

I just need help in doing so mate. I'm on openelec and cant access those folders. I believe i need to delete my old version vis ssh but i have little experience in that so just need a helping hand.

Since no one seems to have a solution I tried something else and I think there is a severe problem somewhere in the Viewtype_AddonWall.xml at least since 4.1.9.8 or maybe earlier! Since I'm not a coder I have no idea where the problem might be but it triggers the logos to stay dark when the series is highlighted. This is happening only while using the InfoWall View with logos instead of posters/banners. It does not matter if you use the white or default skin setting! Posters/Banners are lightening up just normal.
Solution as long as no one is repairing the .xml: Download version 4.1.9.6 and exchange the Viewtype_AddonWall.xml with the one in your skin. For me it did the trick

The Google Drive link at the bottom contains the .xml file. Only the the odd album contains enough tracks with long names to break the auto-scroll.
