Hi Gade

Brilliant skin . im trying to make the video properties ie 3D 1080 770 ect viewable as soon as playback starts (like in confleunce) instead of having to press the information button (i know its anal sorry). but in the video osd xml i can only see the main buttons and information button listed.

Am i looking in the wrong place?

Wow this is SO good I wish it incorporated Rom Collection Browser.

I haven't used a different skin in many years..but this one is so nice.

Thank you for all your hard work!

Hi rossdret.

Thanks so much for all the kind words - it really means a lot Smile

ROM Collection Browser is not something I can use myself, and since it (according to this page) requires 8 script windows, it's not likely to happen anytime soon Smile

Sorry.

But if someone's willing to skin the windows for Rapier, I'll be more than happy to review them and include then with the skin.

Cheers
Gade

Such a shame! Sad Still kudos..great skin.

Hi wheelzi31 and welcome to the forums Smile

As far as I can see, Confluence doesn't show any information when playback starts. Is it perhaps a modded version of Confluence you use?

Rapier only shows the media flags in the fullscreen information dialog and not in the OSD. Would you like the fullscreen information dialog to be visible every time you see the OSD?

Hi NewYears1978.

Thanks so much for the kind words - really appreciate it Smile

As I previously wrote, I'll be happy to review the xml files if someone skins the Rom Collection Browser windows for Rapier.

I just don't have time to do it myself.

RE: [RELEASE] Rapier 8.3.7 for Kodi 15.x Isengard - Gade - 2015-12-18

UPDATE: Rapier 8.5.1 is available through the official Kodi repository!

This update is installed automatically.
If this is not the case, you can download it here.

Fanart backgrounds have been updated with more options (random, recent, in progress and unwatched) and fanart backgrounds have been added for PVR.
A new section has been added to the skin settings: Supported Add-ons. Here you can see the add-ons from the official Kodi add-on repository supported by the skin, and you can download/install or configure all.

The following add-ons are not needed anymore and can be uninstalled:
  • script.toolbox
  • script.grab.fanart
  • script.skin.info.service

Support has been added for the add-on script.skin.helper service instead (should be automatically installed).

Just remember that each time the skin updates, your custom edits to the xml files are overwritten. And I strongly encourage everyone to keep the skin updated at all times.

I don't think I'll add this to the official version of the skin though...

Best kodi skin. Period.

However, I always got a few seconds lag/ delay when open videos ( file list - shares, etc). The blue background is shown for 3- 4 seconds then the file list comes up. Any ideas? Thaks for this wnderful skin

Hi yanakis and welcome to the forums.

Thanks so much Smile

Try checking with other skins - especially Confluence - if you experience the same with them, and let me know.

Which platform do you use?

is there a way to move Skin Helper Service from video addons category??

There's nothing to do from the skin side. That's handled by the add-on.

You can edit the addon.xml within the script.skin.helper.service folder and remove "video" from line 13. But then of course the add-on will not work within the video library. And whenever the add-on updates, it will overwrite the edits to the xml.

Hi. Thanks.

Confluence is working fine, when selecting Videos it shows instantly the list. I am using openelec 6.0. I also tried Rapier on an Android tablet and the same happens. I forgot to mention that it happens only first time. If go out of videos and the back to videos it shows the list instantly. Also, if matters, in the file list I have a combination of smb and nfs shares

I use OpenELEC 6.0 myself, and I also experience some stalling when entering libraries once in a while.

Confluence is a very light-weight skin and Rapier is not... Most OpenELEC system are not that powerful, so that's probably the reason.

I'm not sure there's anything I can do on the skin side, sorry.

Indeed, I tried it in a much powerful system and is way faster.

Still, one question: how do I see in <Videos - File list> the "watched" status (sort of check mark in Confluence)? I only see the movie roll icon no matter the movie is on going or watched.

Many thanks.

Edit: videos watched with Confluence shows as unwatched. Is this flag skin dependent? Thanks

Watched/unwatched status is global in Kodi.

Which view type you use? Could you perhaps take a screenshot?

Watched/unwatched overlays are either check marks or white/blue quality overlays.
