Hi guys,
thanks for a nice skin. I have some problems with tv shows though, I am sure theres a sollution somewhere, but I havent been able to solve it myself. When using landscape view with thumbs that fit well in that little squares Smile, then when showing information the picture is wide and ugly. What worked for me is to change the thumb to tall one, but then the landscape mode is ugly. And this goes with other views, for example banner, when using wide thumbs, banner view is ok but informations are wide and do not fit. How can i solve this? For example is there a way to use different pics for thumb and for information view?

Sorry for my english guys and thanks for your help.

Why not add a Forum section!! Smile

-1. Though I hate this ridiculously-long thread, the good ole' Aeon Showmix tried to move 100% off-site and all interest collapsed. Not to mention, anyone new to the skin didn't know why there was no response to posts or other activity. XBMC really needs sub-folders for popular mods, and I've suggested as such. Maybe more people need to comment on my suggestion.

Second that.
HERE is the right place

if MarcosQui can have his own dedicated forum sub-sections im fine with it!
As-long as it can help him manage all requests for bugs and such!!
its all about him in the end...
trying to think how can this be easier on him,,,
no matter what,,,

Agreed 100%. I don't want to go to another forum.

MQ2 deserves its own subforum, though.

master345 Wrote:ok so without a keyboard how are you able to do a search for movies, tv or music??

Simple! Mouse control! Just like with the player's OSD Marcos managed to adapt for mouse use why not do the same for the virtual keyboard in XBMC??

You can use the mouse to hover over the letters and then press the left mouse button to select them!

Without sounding a prude, is going down this path not like flogging a dead horse. I appreicate not everyone can afford the latest and greatest gadgets to control their XBMC but from what I remember even the XBMC devs have stated that it is not really an interface built for mouse control. Surely you are just making an easily accomplished task (by remote or keyboard) something tedious and time consuming by trying to use a mouse.

Then again, an implementation for lets say Apple's Magic Pad with gesture support is a different matter.Smile

It might seem like a good idea now, but once the "new release" fuss dies down and MQ2 stabilises with most bugs squashed there probably won't be much need a separate forum/sub-forum.

Though I would urge Marcos to consider a source code control and/or defect tracking system such as Google Code. Although it might not seem so at the moment, over the longer term it will make life for the developer and testers/bug reporters so much easier.

I know what you mean but: 1) remotes generally don't have keyboard facility and 2) keyboards are generally big compared to a mouse or a programmable game controller or remote.3) millions of gamers already use this method with x360 and ps3 text input.

All I'm saying, it's not necessarily a step backwards if your still keeping the moving forwards bits too :-) I'm not requesting but if marcos wants to do it that's fine if not, fine also! I just want the idea out there and if people think it's worth adding and cam be programmer in then fine!

Point taken. It is budget dependant but here are a few ideas that I use successfully;

1. Logitech DiNovo Mini Keyboard - use this most of the time. Compact unit with a cursor/touchpad in case you need to use the mouse in Windows etc...
2. Logitech Harmony 900 or Harmony One remote used with a USB-UIRT receiver and EventGhost software. This remote, being universal can control all you IR devices. Have EventGhost configured so the number keys on the remote act like predictive test allowing you to search down your collection by hitting the numbers in sequence (not by spelling the name but literally the same as texting, it will filter your library down to the letters entered in any part of the title, not just the beginning). This also works great.

The above 2 solutions are not the cheapest on the market but there are numerous mini bluetooth/RF keyboards out there that will do the job just as well.

Anyone who gets "upset" with you should pay around $100/hour to you for the typical software developer rate. If not they should bugger off...Big Grin

"Now Playing" - Confusion... - markimark - 2011-03-02

I am a little irritated by the behavior of the panel that appears when hitting "S". If you click on "Now Playing" it always gets you to the Music Playlist. I mean what is that for? If I have queued some videos before how can I call the "Now Playing" Playlist for those videos from the main menu page?

I was under the impression that the Queue Feature is for chosing some content and then have it played like a playlist but I donĀ“t understand how to call that "Queue Playlist" if the "S" panel is always linking to the music playlist?

Can anyone explain that to me? Thanks in advance.

- master345 - 2011-03-02

Can the S menu be customised in an existing XML? I really want to get rid of exit as it does nothing And a few other things also.

In the latest version go to the side menu when in the Movies / TV Shows screens -> Extra Panel -> uncheck "Use Media Cases (Info)"
