Yes it is.

RE: Netflix Add-on [input-stream] - louis_nichols - 2022-10-01

Hi!

I am using version 1.12.14 on Libreelec 9.2.x (sorry, I forgot the exact version. I made a local build a while ago to include the driver for a particular Wi-Fi USB dongle, but it's otherwise identical to the 9.2.x branch and has worked well for months). And the Netflix add-on itself has worked great for years now.

Like 2 days ago, it suddenly started throwing http 404 errors at me. This happens simply when I try to open a folder, not when I try to play.

So, for example, I open the add-on after power on and then click on a profile. And then it shows the error. Or, I have some series under Kodi favorites. They normally land on the list of seasons for that series. But now I get 404 error.

Anyone else getting this?

PS: I can't upgrade LE because of the main reason out there. Hyperion. Sad

Solution for this error when login on to profile?

The add-on encountered the following error: TypeError:_init_() missing 2 required keyword-only arguments: 'request' and 'response':

New addon version v1.19.0 for Kodi v19 (and above) is released

This release solve most of problems due to website API change,
but seem that there are some problematics cases on android and linux

I do not know exactly when i will start the backport for Kodi 18,
it all depends on how many new problems will be reported these days

Thank you very much CastagnalT !!

RE: Netflix Add-on [input-stream] - Paco8 - 2022-10-06

It looks like Netflix enabled the old api back. The kodi 18 version of the addon is working again.

RE: Netflix Add-on [input-stream] - ClippyBeer - 2022-10-07

Yes Netflix is working in Leia again.  I can only guess that removing the old API caused so many problems with other devices/apps that Netflix had to re-enable it.

The main reason I prefer this plug-in is when you pause a video to answer the phone or the call of nature resuming plays the video and audio at the same spot.  When you pause using the Windows 10 app or Chrome browser resuming the video results in no audio for about 2 seconds - if you try to rewind a few seconds sometimes you will get an error and you have to stop the video and resume it, with audio lag for about 2 seconds.

Maybe CastagnaIT should contact Netflix devs and advise them on how to properly write a streaming app Nod

Since using this version my CPU utilisation is going through the roof. Fan is spinning so loudly I have to turn up the volume.

Edit - scrap that. Rebooted and all is fine.

Confirm the addon works again version 1.19.1
Only remaining issue is the kids menu doesn’t take me to the kids section
Hope this gets resolved as well

RE: Netflix Add-on [input-stream] - JNRW - 2022-10-23

I hope someone can help me.

I love how Netflix works in Kodi and have personally used it for years.

On behalf of an elderly friend I have successfully installed Matrix 19.4, successfully installed CastagnaIT’s repo and Netflix add-on, have successfully signed her up to Netflix (they have taken her first subscription) and have successfully logged in using the authentication method. The box is an elderly Android box, which I know for an absolute fact that it has run Netflix before.

However, on trying to stream I receive the following notification.

”Playback error”
”The add-on encountered the following error”
”Exception: Due to changes to the Netflix website, on Android L3 devices videos can only be played from the main/owner profile.”

I do not understand why this should be as every elemental installation has been correctly and successfully carried out.

I would very much appreciate any help on behalf of my friend.

Thank you.

EDIT: NO HELP REQUIRED NOW. FIXED USING https://github.com/CastagnaIT/plugin.video.netflix/files/9844681/plugin.video.netflix_1.19.1%2Bmatrix.1_20221022_t2.zip

RE: Netflix Add-on [input-stream] - CastagnaIT - 2022-10-27

New addon version v1.20.0 for Kodi v19 (and above) is released

Where most important change is that has been fixed the limitation on Android devices to playback from main profile only

Hello~

If I add a movie to favorites and play it from favorites, the "plot" provided by Netflix is not available.

Is there a way to see the listitem.plot even if I play a movie from favorites?
