MarcosQui Wrote:I can even put the flag in support of skin, but will only work if you have a tag in the filename.

This sounds good, what filename tag would it work on, "3DBluRay"?

Also need to make sure that having this tag does not effect the BluRay Cover art, so it still shows the BluRay cover.

MarcosQui Wrote:Friends, bringing back this old request ...

IF I were to create a new view mode to support this form of cover, which scraper gets the covers in this format ?

I do not think a scraper would support this size art, I have not come across one anyway, think it would have to be a manual download and file them as movie name.tbn along with your movie files.
So here lies the problem, as you cannot have two different posters for a movie (as far a I know) unless of course you can incorporate this in to the skin.
This drags up a whole other issue, what happens if you do not have the correct size poster for the movie for this view, how can you use any different view if your poster sizes are different. Ok, you could create playlists but you will never be able to view all your HD and SD movies in one view and you must make sure that all your BluRay titles have the new poster size.

I for one will not use this type of view as I have over 2,500 HD movies and do not have the time to download covers for all of themBlush Appreciate others may find it useful for small collections of BluRay titles but it still leaves the fact that you will not be able to view these moives in any other view due to the poster size.

Just begs to differ if it is really worth your while working on this unless there is a way to have 2 different posters against each movie or if you can find a way of automatically downloading or manually adding a second poster to your collection.

I did a little test using the tag "3DBD" and worked well, but can not be put "bluray" because it conflicts with the bluray standard.

We need to think before I start any work, this simple "tag" will require changes in all view modes, a new cover and other things.

3DBD is a good option as it will obviously not confilct with anything else.

PM me if there is anything I can help with down the line.

chippie, there's no way to mix two types of covers in the same collection, I would have to create a unique new view type the covers to show in this format, do not know if it's worth the work.

Download the aeon2 add-ons pack
http://github.com/downloads/Wanilton/VoxCommando/addons.zip

unzip it and drop into xbmc add-ons folder, go into xbmc and enable weatherplus add-on, done. Nod

Whenever I select the "Use Random Fanart Images when 'Movies Is Selected In Main Menu" it only processes a certain portion of my movies. Currently I have 128 movies, but it comes up with only processing 116 movies. I also exported video library to seperate files so i have the .tbn, .fanart, and .nfo in the same folder structure. Am I missing something?

Exactly, so I presonally think it is a no-brainer, lots of work for nothing really!

If you will not be able to view your whole collection in different views there is really no point in in you spending time developing this.

Sorry spooky!

Not sure what may be causing this but as there have been so many issues with the plugin I ended up creating a batch file to COPY my locally (stored with movies) fanart to seperate folders which I then assign under the MAIN MENU\BACKDROPS option. So far have folders for Movies, TV Shows, Kids, HD Movies etc...

Once you assign the folder location there is nothing else you need to do except run the batch file to copy over any new additions. Think this also makes it much easier to manage as you have to use this method to assign a background folder for other menu options anyway, if you want to that is...

Not worth it as there is no scraper for the coverart dimensions required.

Someone mentioned earlier in this thread that if you disable "random fanart". Reboot, then enable "random fanart" it will then process any new movies added since the last time.

Chippie and Uncertainty:
thanks for the tips. I will just continue to consolidate my fanarts into a single folder for the corresponding menu and desginate it to slideshow in the settings.

Uncertainty:
tried disabling and rebooting, then re enable and the same amount of movies get updated and not the full library. I will keep trying a couple of things to see if I can get it working.
