I agree. I think that aeon mq2 should ship as the standard alternative to confluence. I guess confluence still has its place for slower systems?
It would also be nice if Marcos could get more support from other skin devs and the xbmc team so that he could push the envelope even further.

Does anyone know how to get the following view in MQ2? I saw this posted on another forum, and the user said he was using Aeon MQ2. Not sure if it's an older build or what, but I can't find it anywhere in the view settings. This exactly how I would want to browse through my movies. Half the screen taken up by a small wall, and the other with info/fanart.

That's probably from some other Aeon skin. Sorry I can't say which. It's nice though...

Yeah just tried Neon and Night and it's neither. The font in the top right looks like it may be some sort of AEON variant

BTW anyone that runs a nightly build should not be posting any bugs here till they first post it in the nightly build forum (btw not directed to u dreamxbmc). I remember last year that Hitcher was dealing with reports of like 10 bugs for his skin and it all turned out it was due to a nightly build. Probably cost a week of skin development time for him to look into it......Marcos has enough to deal with,

Suggestions please.
I recently swapped out the compressed Media folder for the uncompressed one so I could install some of my own genre icons. This worked great and I could see both the default icons and my personal ones. After doing so though I noticed that in movies a number of the tags (audio, studio etc) at the bottom of the multiplex view were no longer showing.
I've no idea if this is related and as I couldn't get them back I swapped skins, uninstalled and downloaded again. I have tried this several times, but in every case when I swap back, the movie genre icons no longer show. This happens whether I keep the compressed default Media or swap in the uncompressed media (with or without my personal icons).
Any ideas?
I would note to that in between all this the skin did freeze one time and reset itself for some unknown reason and then removed ALL of my settings (backdrops, personalised home menus, sub menus etc) to return the skin back to its default state.

Looking forward to 2.8.0 as this skin is tops.
I've been searching for something that houses Advanced Launcher in a nice way and although I love AeonMQ2, I just wasn't pleased that there was only one view. So I did some editing and created views for different game box sizes. Might make the highlighted image a little larger and the dimensions need fine tuning to match the actual game boxes but that can be fixed later.
Also removed the background image as I didn't like the same image being displayed as the fanart pic.
I'm not really sure if I'm going to go the 3D route or leave them as 2D or but if I leave them 2D, I'd love to know how to apply the wall overlay to them like this this picture.
I haven't looked at Viewtype_Wall yet to check the code but would it be easy to apply that look over these?
Also, for some reason, the text doesn't scroll in Advanced Launcher (or My Programs) even though the xml indicates it's meant to. Any way to fix that easily enough?

Man, ive been asking for a better layout of advanced launcher for a while, so this is a god send. Any chance of of releasing the necessary files so i can get the same look? Or maybe even sending them to MarcosQui so he can put it in 2.8.0?

Sorry, I didn't post to offer them up and I would never release without the MarcosQui approval to begin with. This is his work. I just needed some more views.
In all seriousness, MarcosQui could add several views in a matter of minutes and build them into the new release. They are not tough at all and would take him no time.
I personally have created a view for each different box art design that I need so have added 7 differing views. A few different talls, wides, squares, of differing dimensions.
Again, MarcosQui could easily add different ones. I'd love some more variety such as showcase, poster and other views but my knowledge isn't at a level where I could add them and I'd need MarcosQui to support them and release it.

that's a mockup i made for MQ2 a while ago. i never said that i got it implemented into the skin, it was a simple view suggestion. it got ignored here though, but almost the exact thing was added to the Nox skin, so if u like it, u can always check there.
