First.. Amazing work with this skin. Thx to the team.

I have one issue and one question. I use a smart playlist to filter all my 3D movies. I use this playlist to create a new submenu entry. The same playlist is for the live background. If i click on the 3D entry i get into the shelf view and all cases are correct. Always a 3D case.

But with the same playlist the live background displays wrong cases.

Any idea whats wrong or is it a bug?

I asked a while ago for atmos movies the audio flag shows still dolby 7.1. It would be nice if the file is tagged with .atmos. to show the atmos flag which is present in the extras/flags/audio directory.
Is this still on your todo list or is this not possible?

@peetee07, think it's the dlialogprocess window where sometimes the name of what is being processed execeeds the box, thought it was fixed a long time ago but we'll look into it and see.

Hi Andy, generally you get the default red case when Kodi doesn't have a video resolution for the film and I might have employed a different case solution for 3D shelf so I'll add it to the list to look into.

Yes, apologies the atmos update got lost in the recent major work, I'll add it back to the list and look into it, think we already have the images from your last request, just need to see how much work it is for all the views.

This is a list of bugs/annoyances that I've remembered from the old Madnox that are still relevant:

1. The known subtitle overlay bug. No need to go into detail on this one.

2. When you are choosing the dropdown info, you have a choice of many layouts (fanart, thumbnails, etc.). If you choose a text-only option, the dropdown layout must be the fanart one. If anything else is selected, the text wont display. IMHO, you ought to make this a default selection - when you click on the button to have a text-only selection, it would automatically switch to the fanart layout.

3. The music library right-list view has a very different display in almost all aspects, but the dark overlay works in all right-list views. IMO, this needs to be separated. For movies and tv shows, the existing textured overlay has a good darkening effect, so the dark overlay might not be needed, as it causes things to be a bit too dark. In music, where there's no such texture, the dark overlay is often needed to be able to read the text.

4. Something is buggered with the info on pause. The whole thing needs a redesign to work properly with streaming content. (I can provide pictures if needed)

5. I have a strange annoyance where a view that I'd set for episodes reverts to the list layout. This happens only on episodes, not on seasons or the library view. I have no idea what is causing it.

6. I can confirm what peetee07 has said. Longer names of contents somehow don't wrap text properly. Try deleting The Lord of The Rings... or any other long (but not too long!) title from your library, and you'll see it.

7. Not sure if this is a bug or not, but the weather conditions in the topbar are of a larger font than the rest?

8. When browsing add-ons and stuff in list view, there are some icons lacking (like context menus, info providers).

9. I've mentioned earlier the bug with the intro video and the skin getting stuck on a flickering screen.

10. In the landscape view, the nowplaying preview is badly aligned (I can provide a picture if needed.)

11. The fullscreen on the home menu works great, but the extrainfo nowplaying widget, and the bottom widget could both use a redesign. Extrainfo widget no longer moves to the bottom. The logo in the lower display doesn't show either. Perhaps it would be better to simplify the options somehow?

i test it on 2 windows pcs and on a rasp2 with OE ( jarvis ) and never have a crash or stuck after it..
what os are you using ? - i will try to recode it to an avi maybe ? ( h264 codec maybe )

kodiflix and under list view settings when you change the center focus it gives only landscape image every season, feature or issue?

Also there is some case issue like others too i assume? Custom widget etc. exodus-family genre it gives trailer case....or does it mean that the trailer is available?

And somebody ask linux users experience music genre icons displaying correctly ... well to me it appears correctly even though some genres are missing or misspelled.

Event log is blank to me also and after i do a fresh start yesterday it still gives me some old settings like my added items on headmenu and all changes submenus and even some background images was there and top of those my widgets was there too?? I deleted all settings for sure! Only thing i do was restore my addons and addons data after clean my kodi! (remember delete all settings in madnox folder) Wink

Except that there is something kodi folders under usr / share / that I wonder if it will grab some information from there?

thanks Alanon, yes screenshots are always best. Some of you points may or may not get done we don't know yet especially with streaming add-ons

but do the screenshots and then we will have a better idea and can at least look into the issues you have reported.

I'm using Windows 10. It's not really a crash, more of a transition problem. The skin doesn't seem to load properly after the intro?

First we have the subtitles problem. This is only an issue if you use the onpause info.

Second and third image show the issue with the landscape text. This only happens in the movie library view. When the option "Show info/Text only" is selected, the only layout that works is fanart. IMO, the other layouts should be hidden when the show info is selected, as it is confusing.

The fourth screenshot shows the rightlist in music library with no dark overlay. As you can see, I need the dark overlay to see stuff clearly, but if I were to turn it on, it would turn on in my tv show library that uses rightlist too, which I don't want.

The fifth and sixth screenshots show the info on pause. The first image is from a library movie that shows everything correctly set up. The second one is from streaming content. For some reason the weather and other things just aren't displayed.

The seventh shows the bad text wrapping on the example of a movie whose title isn't long enough to get broken into two lines, but is too long to fit within the margins comfortably.

The next image shows the missing icons, present from Jarvis onwards.

The ninth image shows the landscape view while a movie is playing. The preview box needs to find a better place.

The last two images are concerning the Home nowplaying. To me it doesn't make sense to have the entire upper half of the screen blocked by the widget, when the video is playing in the back? But, if I move the widget to the bottom, it just disappears forever (the last screenshot). Also, regardless of the setting of the upper widget, there should be a logo below the menu bar, which I have because the film is correctly scraped. It never displays. IMO, it might be best to place all the relevant info (logo, poster, title, etc...) below the menu bar, and make the widget an option only when the fullscreen background playback is not turned on?

There was some debate about whether this worked or not whilst work was ongoing on Mr. V's widgets integration. Basically, it works for Mr. V, not for myself of bsoriano. If anyone does get it working please let us know, maybe we can find that magic combination of settings that enables it!

@Team Madnox,

Would someone please update DialogSubtitles.xml and change line 3 to <zorder>3<zorder>. This will correct Alanon's, and everyone elses, problem with the subtitles window. This is just a short term fix as since Jarvis there should be no need for <zorder> so I'll have to see if there's an underlying problem with focus when trying to get to subtitles.

@Alanon, the text only infopanel is my fault, I think I only designed the solution you get, which would match fanart. I guess I need to look at adding the possibility of style selection for text/info only. For the others I'll add to the list, would you mind telling me what you are using to stream exactly? Also there are options to have the now playing at the very bottom below the home menu, you'll get logo / info on the left, disc in the middle and next tracks on the left. You should find the options in now playing menu option, bottom right corner. but they might be just for music, give them a go and see?. If they are then it's something else we'll have to look and and discuss.

@Mika, unfortunately we don't give help with regards to the use of banned add-ons and you've mentioned using one. But he center focus you can class as a feature, but only a temporary one. I found problems with KodiFlix and using center focus so as a feature it should on allow posters / not landscape in TV when center focus is active, don't worry this shouldn't be like that to long as I plan to re-write Kodiflix to resolve these problems and add some other new stuff in very soon.

@Bob, I have next aired working for me, as panel with banners but I can't confirm regarding the next aired date, but i'll try that out too and also let you know.

@All, it seems when I've introduced views that are cross content i.e. movies and tv shows, that I have not correctly handled all the options we've added to those views and unfortunately most options are shared across content, this I found as a problem with KodiFlix and now from Alanons reports its the same with Right List. Apologies for this and I shall look at going back through all views and checking options and their cross content impact, but I'm sure you know this will take time, but I will certainly attempt to update view options and make them independent if / where possible.

Am I missing something in order to understand whether it is due at the question of missing tags or other ...
I created 2 Playlist, 3D Movies and 4K Movies , as you can see from the picture,

Playlist 4K movies, shows superposition 4K logo for Widget , you can not said for (Background Live "Video Playlist")
as you can see have overlap Bluray logo blue , instead of overlap Bluray 4K logo and its color.
at my opinion, as unbalanced presentation seen so , is ugly to see.

Same for Playlist 3D Movies . Here indeed is viewed with overlap bluray logo Standard , for Widget and (Background Live "Video Playlist") In place of 3D
