RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0) - misiuzeb - 2017-11-29

I using kodi with streaming from enigma 2. In built #1114 all works perfect, fast zapping, always open stream to kodi.
When upgrade to the last build, plugin VU+/Enigma2 works very bad. Many tv channels do not open in kodi, black screen and can not start. When I change channel, everything freezes and after a few seconds is streaming from enigma2 or black screen.
The tuner is not always switched to the channel for streaming. In #1114 zapping for channel works great.

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0) - da-anda - 2017-11-29

automatic switching into 3D modes needs to be re-implemented after some refactoring in this regard had happened. Thanks to the refactoring by FernetMenta and the newly added callbacks on stream changes (which we now can use to toggle 3D modes), it's now also possible to detect 3D related changes midstream and not only on playback start, which had been the case until the refactoring. Also, we now can finally be sure that all the metadata to detect 3D is available when the stream change singal is fired, which was not necessarily the case for the old method we used. So all in all, once re-implemented, detection of 3D modes and related actions should be more reliable and especially also future proof. I just didn't have the time to get my C++ dev env up and running (I usually don't do anything C++) and I've also been way to busy in real life, so I couldn't re-implement that feature yet and it might still take some time until I have enough spare time to do so. So if anybody (looking at popcornmix) would like to fix it and hook into the new streamchange signal (there is a new method in cApplication where we can add the necessary call to StereoscopicsManager), be my guest.

So it works in #1114, doesn't work in #1128. That's only 14 builds to test and work out which is the first with the problem. Let us know once you've identified that build. Thanks.

Sounds pretty much like my problem ---> https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=298462&pid=2672463#pid2672463 .

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0) - paulyz - 2017-11-29

one more bug, in PVR after first change channel by pressing # you can't do this anymore. Example, I pressed #3, PVR changed to #3, but after, if I press #4, PVR do not change channel, but in play menu change time (seconds, minutes and etc).

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0) - popcornmix - 2017-11-29

The reason for 3D not being detected in recent builds was due to the change in bitstream parsing in ffmpeg 3.4.
Last nights build includes a fix for that. My MVC Blu-ray sample was playing in 3D correctly - but there may be other issues.

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0) - smp1 - 2017-11-30

@popcornmix
2 of my samples stopped working with recent builds:

Sample #1: It works only if I remux it to mkv. With build #1123 and older it worked fine in .ts container.
Sample #2: Very slow buffering, then slow and jerky playback. Not sure what the last good build is.
