RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 17.0) - Caramba69 - 2015-12-31

With the newest build I have problems to play all 3D isos in 3D. Some are played in 2D.

Hello Gregoire,

I don't think that is new in lastest build, but there seems to be a race condition when starting 3d playback.
If you bring up OSD then 3d menu and choose an option (e.g. SBS) then it should switch to 3D mode correctly.
It's being investigated.

You are right. This works. It would be also great if we can see the languages of the differnet audio streams when changing the audio. In most of the Iso's I see "unknown" audio stream.

The blank liveTV screen during first entry appears to be sorted. Thanks!

But some builds have worked for you in the past?
Identifying the first failing build would be useful.
Posting a debug log (wiki) may indicate what is wrong.

Sorry for the delay..

Doesn't have debugging enabled, and no sign of trying to play a video file.

Also, can you say if this problem has always been present for you with these builds, or if it is a recently introduced problem?

I have try the same file on different media player and the Pi2 is the only one with the issue.

I did try previous build in the past, but i can't recall if the green pixelation was there, wasn't really using the Pi2 at that time, jsut got serious with it.

Very thank for the developing software this useful device!!!

I often see interlaced TV streams with tvheadend client.
Sometimes 1080I channel with DD 5.1 sound when I see, every 4-5 min has a little drop in audio.
Can it fix?

Other question :what is the best deinterlacing setting in SD and HD content?
How can I switch on full rgb mode?

Happy New Year to All!

Special thanks to Milhouse, popcornmix and everyone else involved in the OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi throughout 2015; Long may it continue in 2016 BlushCool

Caught a new catch-up playback issue when using ITV Player (plugin.video.itv-2.2.6) addon, which occurs for all catch-up playback in build #1229 (OK in #1228)
I first noticed problem with build #1230, tracked back through builds to working build then switched on debug in kodi.

Following are debug logs:-

1228# (Catch-up OK)
1229# (Catch-up NOK with following message appearing in kodi interface "ITV Error, check the log for more information)

Seems to be a python issue:
Code:
21:30:46 445.301819 T:1695544336   ERROR: EXCEPTION Thrown (PythonToCppException) : -->Python callback/script returned the following error<--
                                             - NOTE: IGNORING THIS CAN LEAD TO MEMORY LEAKS!
                                            Error Type: <type 'exceptions.NameError'>
Error Contents: global name 'dialog' is not defined
                                            Traceback (most recent call last):
                                              File "/home/pi/.kodi/addons/plugin.video.itv/default.py", line 771, in <module>
                                                VIDEO(url,iconimage)
File "/home/pi/.kodi/addons/plugin.video.itv/default.py", line 560, in VIDEO
dialog.ok("ITV Player", "Sorry Cannot Resolve This Stream", "")
NameError: global name 'dialog' is not defined
Not sure what change would have caused this, but it might be the add-on that needs fixing.

RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 17.0) - popcornmix - 2016-01-01

Ah - there is a bug in the error reporting. Need to add:
Code:
dialog = xbmcgui.Dialog()
before the
Code:
dialog.ok("ITV Player", "Sorry Cannot Resolve This Stream", "")
then you get the proper error dialog when stream fails.
