I use a touch screen PC in my kitchen.
With the default skin Confluence I have had the problem, that the volume control is not easy possible via the touch panel.
For this reason, I have modded the default Confluence skin and inserted additional buttons for volume control.

EDIT: hmmm, maybe this wont work with a lowered home menu, and multiple submenu items... (not enough space)
Thoughts for consideration:
- Add the above mentioned buttons to the right hand side of the home screen instead ?
(only when at home screen, so as not to interfere with home/back)
- Add volume buttons to the transport controls on the home screen ?
(the ones that show above right on the home menu)
- Add volume buttons to the fullscreen transport controls ?
(the deafult 'Audio' menu is not that intuitive for just a simple volume change)
(and I notice that the 'Audio' button is not even visible in fullscreen when playing just audio - eg: radio stream)
Confused
but I guess its all food for thought...

Many thanks to you Mudislander for your great job.I have been using this skin for a couple of days, and I like it -- but I've some requests:
-- Showing "End Time" in OSD, "m" button // and increase its size;
-- Add a small icon, at the top of the screen, to watch trailers, just like transparency; or something like in aeon mq4: two clicks up to play a trailer.
I also have one question: when we add a new TV Show to the library, will artwork downloader get all artwork automatically, or do we need to launch the program manually.

So far from limited testing (like, 2 minutes), I note that the DialogInfoScreens (or at least some of them) are transparent, so the 'XBMC Media Center' logo which is also in the top left corner still shows underneath the DialogInfo making it somewhat unreadable.
If it was not transparent (and maybe just a little bit higher, although that is a guess) maybe it would then just cover the XBMC logo nicely.

A couple of questions for the future:
- I seem to have the Year in the fullscreen OSD display twice for Movies (and it seems to come from different sources, because sometimes it diffferent). This started happening a while ago, I think after you maybe did some changes in that area (but I am not 100% sure).
- When in a view (eg: Movie List, but most others too) it is no longer possible to Arrow Right several times to reach the Back/Home buttons in the bottom right corner. In these cases Arrow Right opens again the left Fly Out View Menu (as well as Arrow Left). Its weird, but I now understand that this is something that arrived with Frodo/standard Confluence (rather than being a CCM bug).
It didnt happen in Eden, which was really nice because it meant fast access to the Home button on a simple (eg: aTV style) remote.
I dont know if this is actually a bug in Confluence or a designed feature (not sure how it is helpful), but it is possible to UNDO this and put it back to how it used to work?

EDIT: Re-enabled weather in the skin settings and the now the DialogInfoScreens seem to work more as expected (ie: weather hides, Dialog shows for several seconds, then weather shows again)

Thanks for the feedback, just what I'm looking for.
The XBMC logo top left will be looked at, oversight that it stays up under the info dialog. BTW if anyone is having problems with the weather, you now have to enable it in the system weather settings.
Keep a watch on the arrow keys, the design is that from a media view to go down/right through the scroll bar to the back/exit buttons. it gets a little more difficult from there, but I prefer then going on to the left hand menu then back to the media view.
Re the movie year, yep it's possible for some movies to show the year after the name if it has the year in the name I'll look into it but it may be a case of renaming those movies as I want the year up for some of the views & also previously requested to show year.

Sorry but this request for a "Trailer" button came a few days too late, Original idea had the trailer button on floor with back/home buttons, but space was short & also only works for "One Line" type views eg in the middle of a full wall to get to a trailer button you have to first go over some other media items & the trailer then changes. Plus which I thought "Who needs to watch trailers of movies on their system ?" - obviously was wrong
Just out of interest why do you use the small popup OSD on the "M" button.
Re Artwork downloader - Yes you have to manually start the script. Standing on moral ground here & don't want to waste bandwith that someone has paid good money for.

When I play a video, just before it starts, I see the background image for about 1sec... I'm not talking about the fanart, but the default background of "videos". I have tested other skins, like hybrid, and things seems to be more fluid. This is not a big problem, but I hope you can solve it

Default seems to be off now.

(ie: how it used to work in Eden). One exception seems to be in views where there is no scroll bar (because of only a few items listed) - in this case it won't jump across to back/home buttons. In the File view (or Library view) for this library the Year does not form part of the file name. I'll double check the actual .strm file name on the hard drive later in the day.

On my aTV I Disabled the Volume Buttons in the skin settings because the aTV is connected to a 5.1 receiver which handles volume.
In this case, the buttons are just 'missing' on the fullscreen OSD (for Movies, I didn't actually check audio only yet), ie: there is a physical gap on the OSD. This gap prevents being able to arrow right from the transport buttons to the subtitle and other buttons - its not possible to 'jump' across the gap. Arrow Left from the transport buttons works to wrap around in the opposite direction thereby avoiding the physical gap. I hope this explanation makes sense

One more item that I noticed last night. Adding items to Favourites no longer seems to produce a DialogInfoScreen - maybe there are other Dialogs that are no longer showing up as well ?
