yeah im just running the default settings with mediacodec(surface) enabled, if i turn it off it zoom works again but then it uses the other accelaration engine which is playing back all weird and jittery. if i turn both off the zoom is working but the cpu jumps to 100% lol, i miss libstagefright which im guessing it was using before which worked perfect imo.

the problem seems to be it wont let the image leave the screen once it hits the sides the zoom keeps going up but the part that hit the side stops moving. causing a squashed image. as with 4:3 it has black sides so it will stretch further till the side of the screen but the top and bottom hits sooner. if there is anything i can do to help with this i will gladly help.

Hi. I installed kodi 16 RC2 on my Sony Android TV 55X855C (Brazilian version of X850C) and no good on passing through DD 5.1 nor DTS 5.1 audio. TV is connected on a Sony 5.1 receiver via optical. Only getting 2.0 sound. Enabling passthrough seems to make no difference on audio output.

With Kodi 15.2 isengard passthrough works fine enabling the passthrough and the DTS/AC3 capable receiver options. I get 5.1 audio perfecly on the receiver, but it wont play all my 4k media, only Kodi 16 is playing the video correctly, thats why cant continue With 15.2. But keep having the audio 5.1 passthrough problem. The Kodi 16 doesnt have the DD nor the DTS capable receiver option to be marked on system settings/audio output, dont know why.

Can you help me with this?

I got quite some DD and DTS issues that passthrough doesn't seem to work, when I disable passthrough The loud hissing stops and PCM sound plays it seems like... I don't use an optical cable, but use ARC though.

And sometimes I just get normal DD and DTS when I enable passthrough again... I wish I could debug this :-s

Hi guys. I'm the proud owner of a new XBR-43x830C. Great TV so far and its even better that I can install Kodi on it. One question I have is, when I raise the volume of the TV the TV's indication shows the a second or two the Kodi volume indication also shows. I want to hide the Kodi one and only show the TV one. Is this possible?

this is fixed in kodi v16 rc2.

Really? Same TV? You just select passthrough and get 5.1 sound on the receiver? Cause the AC3/DTS capable receiver buttons are gone in Kodi 16.

I have 16 RC1, and the buttons for AC3/DTS are there. Do you have the "Settings Level" (bottom left of the screen) set to Advanced or Expert? If you don't, those items are hidden.

My TV is a XBR65X900C (2015 Android TV version 5.1.1).

Just confirmed. Installed Kodi 15.2 again, enabled passthrough and marked DD/DTS capable receiver and got 5.1 channel audio on the receiver. Then installed 16 RC1, enabled passthrough and only getting 2.0 sound. Undecided

Any ideas?
